It’s Alison’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Alison was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds to turn Tim Holtz’s adorable Silhouette Birds into something altogether darker and more ominous. The birds are cut from Kraft Stock Stack Black Paper, and perched on real twigs over a Distress Ink and Oxide background.  The Idea-ology Clippings stickers provided the perfect phrases to capture the psychological torment of the film. Fly on over to Words and Pictures to see just how dimensionally these birds are hovering right over your head!

Andrea made a card featuring a quote from the Ben Stiller version of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. She used Mama Elephant’s Globies Grid Cover die along with Altenew’s Halftone Stencil and Distress Crayons (Set 1 and Set 12) to make her project.

Anna-Karin was inspired by Jurassic World and created a tag featuring a cute dinosaur in a moonlit night. She used Simon Says Stamp Picturebook Brontosaurus die and Tim Holtz Moon Mask Stencils. The sentiments come from Clippings Stickers.

Barbara was inspired by Ranger Ink’s new Distress color for Tim Holtz, Uncharted Mariner and so she chose a film that fits this perfectly: ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ from Jules Verne’s novel of the same name. She also used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bubbles stamp , Sea Life stamps set and, the Sizzix Wacky Transport 1 Thinlits dies.

Cheiron was inspired by the movie The Man Who Knew Infinity and used images from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Eclectic Adverts, Weird Science and The Chemist stamps. She created her background using Distress Spray Stains, and added Gilded Foundry Wax and White Splatter to finish her card.

Emma was inspired by one of her all time favourite movies, Top Gun and created a Mini Etcetera Tag using Tim Holtz products. She used Uncharted Mariner Spray Stains and Oxide Spray to create the background spritzed over the Linked Squares Layering Stencil and combined this with the Inquisitive Stamp Set, the Winged 3D Impresslits Cut and Emboss Die and die cut stars from the Christmas 2021 Vault Series Die Set.

Emma also created a die cut freestanding Retro TV ornament which she made using the Sizzix die by Tim Holtz, and will display alongside her tag.

Kath was inspired by the James Bond movies (too many favourites to choose just one) to create a card to send to a hero in your life. She used some of her favourite craft products from her hero Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous Dapper, Moon Mask, Diamonds and Mini Numbered Layering Stencils, Distress Sterling Foundry Wax and Sizzix Alphanumeric Label, Classic Lower and Swirling Stars Thinlits.

Macarena was inspired by the Girl with a suitcase old movie on this card for a girl turning 13. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix dies: Destination, Baggage Claim and Alphanumeric Upper and Lower letters. She gave a vibrant shine to the map and suitcases by using Distress Embossing Glaze.

Maura was inspired by the movie “Alice in Wonderland” for her art journal spread. She used Stamping Bella’s Oddball Mad Hatter and White Rabbit stamps, along with Stamperia’s Alice in Wonderland papers.

Meihsia was inspired by the movie Alpha to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Cosmos 12 X 12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology MACHINERY HEADS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology FLASHCARDS.

This is Sandra‘s final project for the Monday Challenge blog, her inspiration for this card was the movie The Butterfly Effect. For the background she used Distress Spray Stain Speckled EggPrize Ribbon and Black Soot, with the Butterfly of the Specimen stamp set as the star.

Zoey was inspired by the movie “5 days of Summer” – she used the wonderful Uncharted Mariner color to create the background of her tag. She also mixed in Antiqued Bronze and Fossilized Amber Oxide Spray To add texture she used the newly released stencil from Stampers Anonymous and the Bubble stamp from Tim Holtz

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
