This week the challenge is:
You’ve Got The Edge

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
This week’s theme inspired Beulah Bee to consider the distinctive edge found on postage stamps. She created a collection of handmade stamps using a variety of materials including Uchi’s Design Stamp Embossing Punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Things rubber stamps and Prismacolor Colored Pencils. She decorated an Idea-ology Notebook Worn Binder to display them in using the Correspondence Stamp Set, Idea-ology Snippets and the Hero Arts Legacy Lowercase stamp set.
Andrea used flowers and stitching to give a nice edge to her Grateful Girl card. She used lots of dies to bring her card together, including Seth Apter’s Coffee Ring, Reverse Confetti’s Grateful, Thankful, Blessed and Tim Holtz’s Trellis.
Anna-Karin made a layout this week, with lots of different kinds of edges; a stamped transparency, stars die cut with Tim Holtz Star Cluster die, and Wrought Iron Dresden borders by Prima.
Barbara is always fascinated by the sea! She created a Mini Framed panel mixing Tim Holtz Watson and Tim Holtz Sea life stamps. She highlighted the edge with Stampendous GOLD LUX MIX Micas and Glitters and Prima Marketing Metallique Wax Vintage Gold.
Cathie played with a new color combination and created this pretty card using the Simon Says Stamp Bouquet of Thanks and PaperArtsy’s Jofy 32 stamp sets. The flowers are colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Emma used Grit Paste coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to give her the perfect rusty finish to the edge of her “arty” panel which she completed with images from the Dapper Stamp Set.
Kath made a Burlap frame for her Idea-ology Paper Dolls Family Canvas with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations Trellis Frameworks Die cut from Idea-ology Textured Surfaces and Memoranda Paper Stash
Lols made a card using a Paper Artsy Zinski Art 06 and Zini 01 Mini Rubber Stamp Sets to make a whimsical card. She replicated the zig-zag design on the stamps in the stitching and then used a Paper Distresser to create more interest along the edge.
Macarena comes with a Home Sweet Home card today. She made a kind of frame using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Pipelines Bigz die. She gave some vibrancy with the deep Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Ink and for the soft watercolor background she used Tim Holtz Mosaic stencil.
Maura got edgy with steampunk, framed her canvas using Tim Holtz’s Ruler Pieces, and added some Prima Vintage Art Decor Medallions using the moulds and Prima’s Paper Clay.
Meihsia made a mixed media card this week with distressed and sewed edges. She colored and stamped the background of the card with Tim Holtz Oxide Reinkers and Oxide Ink Pads.
Sandra made a birthday card and went a little of the edge with the Pediments die. It’s painted black with the Black Paint Dabber to get some extra structure and went over it with Old Silver Metallique Wax.
Zoey made this tag with acrylic paints and used Tissue Tape and Tim Holtz paperdolls to decorate it. She used left overs die cuts to add interest to the corners of this tag
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and decorate your edges! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
