Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are challenging you to:

ADD SOME TEXTURE

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Katzelkraft. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we’re welcoming 2 fabulous designers into the spotlight! Teresa York and Gitta Roolf . If you haven’t visited their sites on instagram before then you are in for a real treat!

Teresa used a Stampers Anonymous Medium Etcetera Tag as the base for her whimsical scene. She used Katzelkraft Les Branches, Cadre Doodle Etoille and Winter Hut Stamps along with a variety of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Products. She used Industrious and Lumber 3D Embossing Folders to add texture to the background.

Gitta made a card using a Tim Holtz Cobblestone 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder and Translucent Texture Paste. She colored with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. You can see a video of how Gitta made this on her You Tube channel!

Andrea made a decorative wall hanging using Katzelkraft’s Be Brave stamp. She also used Avery Elle’s Pierced Rounded Frames dies, Tim Holtz’s Backdrops Vol. 4 paper, and Kraft Heavystock to keep it sturdy. She loves adding texture through sewing and fabric.

Anna-Karin was inspired by a group of birch trees which she often walks past. The trees were stamped on a tag with Katzelkraft Birches Forest stamp set. The trees were colored with Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and texture was created with the paint.

Barbara this week was inspired by Halloween. She created two tags adding texture with Ranger Ink Distress Black Paste and Grit Paste Crypt through two stencils by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous: Decayed and Fractured. For the center point in the first tag she used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous The Obscure stamp set, and in the second Tim Holtz Sizzix Graveyard Colorize Thinlits Dies. She also used the new Distress Crayons to color her tags.

Cheiron created a fun snowman card using Katzelkraft Snowman Kisses stamps combined with a Tim Holtz Sizzix Winston snowman die. She created lots of texture using Distress Watercolor Cardstock and Snowfall Grit Paste and completed her snowman with a tiny heart from the Stacked Tiles Hearts dies.

Kath made Christmas cards using Katzelkraft Winter Scene on Distress Oxide ink blended backgrounds, added texture with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Snowflakes and Falling Stars Mini Layering Stencils using Distress Grit Paste Snowfall and Distress Grit Paste Opague and used sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Sketched Greenery.

Lols made a belated birthday card using Katzelkraft Le Chat Pencif and Les Balloons Stamp Sets. She colored with Distress Inks and used a Tim Holtz Fallling Stars Layering Stencil and Distress Sparkle Texture Paste for the background. She used Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and a Lumber 3D Embossing Folder to make the table. She finished with a CZ Design Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strip.

Macarena added a woodgrain texture using Tim Holtz Sizzix Lumber 3D embossing folder on which she made a forest scene with Katzelkraft Mushpignons stamp set. For the background she used Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Halloween Backdrops.

Maura headed to her art journal inspired by fantastic fungi. She used Katzelkraft’s Mushpignons stamp set, Dylusions Large Leaf It Out stencil, and added texture using Ranger’s Transparent Texture Paste.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Cracked 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder on the background, and decorated it with Katzelkraft LES HUMANOIDS Red Rubber Unmounted Stamp and Tim Holtz Idea-ology STITCHED SCRAPS 2 Embellishments.

Zoey made this textured tag with Distress Crackle Paste and Embossing Glaze through her favorite stencil . She used Katzelkraft CHRISTMAS SNOWFLAKES Red Rubber Unmounted Stamp to add some text element and then she made a cluster with Tim Holtz Ideaology Photobooth and thindies from Tim’s Sizzix Release (birds + modern festive)
