Hydrangea Blooms by Laura Bassen

Purple Hydrangea flower (Hydrangea macrophylla) in a garden
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Gorgeous real life shot of hydrangeas above, isn’t it? This was the inspiration for the fantastic Laura Bassen for her feature today, and oh my goodness did she represent it well! She used the Hydrangea Blooms stamps and dies along with some of her favorite Simon Says Stamp inks (including HOT MAMA!) to recreate this gorgeous scene in card form. Don’t forget to watch the video, and enjoy!

  1. I ADORE hydrangeas! This stamp set and dies is just perfect and what wonderful coloring! Those rays of sunlight adds so much

  2. Laura never disappoints! I don’t think there is a single card that she has made that I haven’t loved! Such a nice reminder of Summer Days! Getting chilly here in MN!!!

  3. I totally LOVE hydrangeas and miss them here in South Florida, Laura! But I love your card and have this set…so you’ve inspired me! And I love the sun rays and the beautiful sentiment (white on black is so striking!). Great video too…hugs!

  4. In Seattle, we still have some of the blue hydrangeas in bloom, but Laura’s card would be great to look at in the upcoming dark and cold months.

  5. Wow! This is a beautiful stamp set, how have I not seen this before? Obviously, too busy drooling over all the other stamp sets….so much choice!!! Laura I love your card, what a clever way to emulate sun rays. I always love watching your videos. Have a lovely day. Cheers Donna Z :)

  6. I have this stamp Laura and have been so happy with all my results. That picture is awesome. I wish I could figure out how to get my hydrangea’s to bloom like that. Thanks for sharing, such a fabulous job.
