His + Her Sharpie Mug DIY
Hi readers! Happy Thursday and welcome to the August edition of our monthly DIY Feature! I was perusing some of my favorite blogs and came across this sweet DIY post on A Beautiful Mess! Have you seen this blog? These ladies are way cool and super talented. We sure appreciate them letting us share this fun idea on our blog!
All photographs on this blog post are brought to you by the talented folks at A Beautiful Mess.
Making fun His + Her personalized mugs can be as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Start off with a permanent marker & non-decorative porcelain mug that you want to permanently alter. (I really dug the handles on these!)
2. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t forget your mitt when taking out of the oven!!
3. Let cool completely before washing or using.
Then, enjoy! (My favorite red lipstick) :)
*Editors note: Some have found after using Sharpie markers, that the designs have washed off over time. Pebeo markers are a bit pricier, but are made to be applied on porcelain.

Hmmmmm, maybe you could show me some stamping on these mugs. What inks could I use? Or what paints would be good to decorate these.

What a great idea for the sharpies. And if it washes off you can just put something different there. It’s nice to vary the art now and again
