Making fun His + Her personalized mugs can be as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Start off with a permanent marker & non-decorative porcelain mug that you want to permanently alter. (I really dug the handles on these!)

step2

2. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t forget your mitt when taking out of the oven!!

3. Let cool completely before washing or using.

Then, enjoy! (My favorite red lipstick) :)

*Editors note: Some have found after using Sharpie markers, that the designs have washed off over time. Pebeo markers are a bit pricier, but are made to be applied on porcelain.

  1. Oh I think I will do this for my son and daughter in law. They are having a wedding next month and this would be too cute. Yes she is already my dil and they are having a wedding, They secretly eloped a few months ago. Well not so secret anymore but still having a wedding.

  2. I don’t drink coffee or tea but I have family who does and I think filling a mug with coffee beans or gift card to a coffee shop would make a super cute gift too!

  3. I love these personalized mugs! I would love to make a set of mugs (let’s say 6) with special life quotes so as to pick each day the one that express us more! I think that it would be a nice gift to friends too! :-)

  4. If you’re going to decorate something that you want to use – you should spend enough so that the decoration will stand the test of time. Great idea for the cups.

  5. Super idea! I have a whole collection of mugs I have brought just to make me smile. Now I can create my very own. Thanks for the idea.

  6. This is a great idea. Did not know you had to bake them after the ink. Would be great for neighbors at Christmas time with a basket of mixed cookies. Thanks for the idea!

  7. I love this idea! Can’t wait to try it…. so many possibilities! What perfect teacher gifts they would be.
