Shaker Wings Card

Pamela-Oct02

Hi readers! Happy Sunday to you! How is your day going so far? I hope it’s going great!  I’m always happy to welcome back guest designer Pamela Ho to our blog! I love what she made for us today! It’s such a gorgeous CAS design yet that special shaker function in the wings makes it so beautiful and a great design to make & send out!

Enjoy!

This simple Christmas shaker card started off with a simple stamped card panel using Paper SmoochesA Blessed Christmas stamp set.  I colored in the sweet angel using my Copic markers – yellow for her hair, blue for her dress and grey for some shadows.

I then used my knife to carefully cut out the largest part of her wings so she could have some glitter-y wings :)  I backed it with some clear acetate and pour in some glitter.  The card panel was adhered with foam tape onto my card base.

  1. Love this angel shaker card, its simple, elegant and fun. AND I’m going to have to try this idea very soon!!! TFS!!! Now all I have to do is track down a few items I need!!!

  2. Pamela,

Your card is simply stunning! I like that the shaker part of the card is subtle. Sometimes the shaker part of the card can just take over and you miss the rest of what is going on in the card. When I read your description saying it was a shaker card, I had to look twice and see what part made it so! Beautiful design and fabulous execution!

  3. How pretty! I LOVE this stamp set and the way you made the shaker card from just the wings is SO pretty without being overwhelming. I love it!

  4. “Simply” beautiful card, Pamela! I love the traditional theme, and the surprise of the glittery, shaker-window wings makes it so contemporary, at the same time!

  5. Love the card and how you just did the wings for a shaker. This image has such a peaceful face. Thanks for sharing!
