Hi readers! Happy Wednesday to you! Today we’re back with more fun & surprises. Avery Elle is our featured brand today!
We have a very special exclusive stamp set that collaborates the amazing folks at Avery Elle AND Operation Write Home (OWH)! Check it out! What do you think? We have a limited supply of this set so please be sure to scoop it up if you love it like we do! The stamp set was designed by Avery Elle and 100% of the profits from the sales of these are being donated to OWH. The stamps are only available for sale during Stamptember® while supplies last.
But wait… there’s more! We also are very pleased to welcome back Heather Campbell to our blog! We have loved her designs in the past, and she continues to inspire!
Hello, I am so excited to share my project as part of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember festivities! To create this card, I used the new Avery Elle Fabulous Florals stamp set and coordinating dies. When I’m creating cards like this, I’ll typically stamp all the flowers and leaves in various colors so I can arrange the bouquet once I have all the pieces ready to go and save whatever I don’t use for next time. Most of these stamps are designed for two-step stamping. To do this, you stamp the larger image first and then come back and stamp the second accent stamp right on top. Several of the accents stamps in this set are interchangeable too – which makes it fun and unique.
To begin my card, I stamped the woodgrain border along the top of my card front with the new Avery Elle Silver Fox ink (this color is amazing!) and then die cut using the new Finished Frames it to create the fancy stitched panel.
Next, I wrapped the panel with twine, tied a large bow and then used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher to staple right on top of the bow. While I typically wouldn’t staple right on top of a lovely bow, I knew I’d be covering this one up and I needed to compress the knot to get the right thickness. Since the bow isn’t as thick, I was able to secure the flowers in place perfectly right over the top of the bow using dimensional adhesive.
Then, I stamped my sentiment and secured the panel to the card base. To finish it off, I brushed clear Wink of Stella glitter brush and white gel pen accents to the insides of some of the flowers. Lastly, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins underneath some of the flowers just barely peeking out.
Thanks for letting me join you today and sharing part of your day with me. Have a great day!
-Heather
