Not a Card with Nina-Marie: Easy Holiday Advent Basket

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and I have a festive DIY project to share! Advent calendars are a beautiful seasonal display of anticipation and joy, filled with treats and small gifts that are opened each day leading up to Christmas.

I’m sharing an easy “basket advent calendar” idea using some of Simon Says Stamp’s exclusive dies. This project would be perfect as a family weekend activity, or as fun decor for you to make on your own.

The main supplies I used for this project include Simon’s Reveal Windows die set, Large Standard Tag die, Large Rounded Tag die, a number die set (I used the Hero Arts Classic Numbers die set), 3×4 paper bags, and a pack of your favorite patterned paper.

In addition, you can add embellish your advent bags with other festive dies, such as Aurora Snowflake, Retro Deer, Poinsettia Ornament, Christmas Foliage, or Pine Needle Trio.

The best part about this basket advent calendar is that it does not require wall space to display it. By placing your calendar in a basket, you can contain everything and showcase the beauty on your counter, a coffee table, or even under your tree during the holiday season! I love compact decor projects, which gives me more arrangement options.

Be sure to watch the video below to learn how I made these beautiful advent bags!
