December 2021 Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner

Hello, all! Kristina Werner here with some inspiration using the December 2021 Card Kit! I created four one-layer cards using the cardstock and stamps from the kit.
First I cut down and scored the Lipstick Red and Aubrey Blue cardstock in the kit, making four card A2 card bases. I also temporarily taped them closed with a bit of low tack tape so I could work with them without them opening.

Using the Santa’s Helpers stamp set, I stamped the row of hanging ornaments and “Happy Holidays” in VersaMark ink on all for cards. Using the MISTI for all the stamping makes it super easy to stamp each card in the same position. After stamping, I applied gold embossing powder and heat set the powder.

Then I got to the blending–my favorite part! For the red cards, I used Merlot and Intense Black inks from Simon. For the blue cards, I used Teal and Soft Navy inks.

To finish off the cards, I added small pops of white with a white gel pen.

Crafty with Caly: Real Leaves

Hi friends! Welcome to the latest edition of Crafy with Caly! Caly Person has made a GORGEOUS slimline card featuring our new Real Leaves stamp set and has a cool feature with a sponge dauber on how to recreate this effect! Be sure to watch the video for all the details and enjoy!

Hey, Friends! Thanks for joining me today for some multicolored stamping using the Real Leaves stamp set from the Handmade Holiday release! I love me some stamping and the ability to add colors and depth using a combination of ink colors.
I created a slimline card today to share a few color variations and to show off the realism and details of these gorgeous Real Leaves! I started with a slimline panel and centered the oak leaf first and then worked my way out from the center to ensure proper spacing.
Be sure to check out the video for this card!

I used sponge daubers to apply the ink in sections, overlapping them just a tad to get a nice blend between the colors. When I was done stamping all the variations (2-3 colors per leaf), I quickly splattered the panels with some red ink and white paint for texture.
Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink colors used: Merlot, Schoolhouse Red, Clementine, Goldenlocks, Fern, Evergreen

For more interest, I wrapped some twine around the bottom of my card to help ground the left images. I used the Thankful For You die and layered it over the twine in the center of the card. I die cut the bottom layer using Matte Gold Cardstock and the thankful word using a simple black cardstock.

To finish today’s card, I embellished the leaves with a few sequins from the new Glimmering Pines Sequin Mix. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for visiting and spending some time with me today! ~Caly
