Simon Says: Masculine
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Circles Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to make something
Masculine
As I am sure you all know it will be Fathers Day on June 18th so you can choose to make a Dad’s day card or maybe you would rather make an alternative manly creation, Whatever you decide to create we will be looking forward to seeing them!
This week we are showcasing some fabulous Darkroom Door Products. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have any of their products we would love to see them used!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
We are welcoming the lovely and super talented Anne Redfern aka Redanne into the Designer Spotlight this month. If you haven’t visited Anne’s blog before then you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to leave her a nice comment.
Anne made a large tag using a Tim Holtz Ecetera Tag, Darkroom Door – Capture Life stamp and Darkroom Door – Filmstrip stamp, along with Tim Holtz Picture Wheel die and Oxide Inks.
Andrea made a whimsical car-themed tag using Darkroom Door’s Grunge Marks stamp set, Coffee Stain stamp and Tim Holtz’s Cityscape Commuter dies.
Anna-Karin made a card this week, using an elephant from the Darkroom Door Wild Africa Vol 3 set as the focal point. She also shrunk the Vintage Camera stamp so that she could fit three cameras on her card.
Barbara has created her masculine panel with Darkroom Door Cling Stamp Coffee Stain Eclectic, Tim Holtz Paper dolls and Distress Oxides.
Cathie used the Darkroom Door Vintage Planes and World Map background stamp to create her masculine card.
Emma used the Darkroom Door Abstract Triangles stamp to create a background for her textured burlap panel. She used the Tim Holtz Industrial Die to create rusty gears which are layered onto the background together with a pocket watch complete with rusty metal heart.
Kath decorated a Tim Holtz Small Etcetera Tag with a favourite Darkroom Door Bookworm Stamp Set and Idea-ology Paper Dollls to show that you’re never too young to fall in love with books…so many books…so little time
Lols made a Father’s Day card usingTim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, Seth Apter Robo Rings Dies and a Simon’s Exclusive Mom and Dad Icons Stamp Set. Lols does have the absolute best Dad so this is quite fitting *wink*
Macarena made a bold and strong masculine card using a great Darkroom Door Bold Arrows Stamp, some Infusions giving a texture with Cubist stencil by TCW.
Maura headed right to her Darkroom Door Paint Brushes and Paint Tubes along with their Happy Stamp to make a Father’s Day card for her artist husband.
Meihsia created a mixed media tag with her favorite quote using Darkroom Door Cling Stamp Happy Quote and Kaisercraft Wooden Shapes embellishments to decorate the background.
Sandra used the Bold Arrows from Darkroom Door in the background with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink, but also in the front as focal point of her card with Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.
Zoey used Darkroom Door Cling Stamp GRUNGE MARKS Rubber to add texture over this Tag colored with Distress Stain
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
