Andrea has always been a sucker for pretty pink trees.
Oh what fun I had with Concord & 9th’s new Take a Bough die set, which I used to make these snazzy pink trees. And what would a wintery collage be without a sentiment? Love the versatility of Reverse Confetti’s Winter Word Coordinates, which you can mix and match in all sorts of ways.
Anna-Karin made a winter shadow box.
I adore these resin owls by Prima and wanted to give my owl a home in a window shadow box. Creating snow on projects is so fun and here I used a lot of different products to create snow, such as Prima’s Snowflake Paste, mica flakes, and beads, and Tim Holtz icicles. It was finished with a tiny bit of silver foil.
Barbara’s favourite season is the winter!
I adore the winter, the icy shades of blue are so beautiful! I’m in love with three new Distress inks: Cracked Pistachio , Lucky Clover and Blueprint Sketch, with them I created my color combination for this challenge! Kraft Core Metallic gives a wintery mood to my tags, the blue icicles are a perfect finishing touch to give you the chills!
Cheiron prefers viewing the winter wonderland from inside…
Cold is not for me, I’d rather be keeping cozy inside with my sweetie. I made this fun gift tag for one of his presents using Christmas Wishes paper from Pinkfresh Studio for the sentiment and the background. I added a stamp from Dina Wakley’s Scribbly Fashion Figures colored with Distress Markers. To give it a little sparkle I added some Tim Holtz tinsel twine colored with alcohol inks.
Emma is dreaming of a white Christmas!
Can you believe that Christmas is here? Where did this year go? But as the big day is just around the corner, I’m hoping that maybe this year we might get a white Christmas but if not, I can always escape into my journal page where I created a vision of my dream using Distress Paints and Texture Paste to create a wintery background of snowflakes. I added a Found Relatives image, together with Festive Ephemera and die cut Woodland to complete my pages.
Lols is wishing that she could make a real snowman this year!
It never snows in Malta so paper snowmen will be the only ones I will be making this Christmas! I used a Tim Holtz Snowman Blueprint Stamp and Die Set to make a quick and easy card. For the background I used Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Inks, a Falling Snow Stencil, White Embossing Paste and a sprinkling of glitter to create some winter sparkle.
Maura loves the bright colors of Christmas trees.
A friend reminded me about making these trees recently, and I knew I had to make some of my own to mail out. Lucky for me, I still had some BoBunny Candy Cane Lane papers on hand to make the trees. The holiday season is all about shine and glitter, so a few sprinkles with my Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine is a must. The Create Joy Circle Sayings add a nice wintry touch to the envelopes. Why not make the outside pretty too and bring a smile to your mail carrier?
Meihsia was inspired to create an art journal page with a Christmas tree.
I love gold and shiny decorations in Christmas season. On this journal page, the background was colored with Peerless watercolor. I stamped and heat embossed the Christmas tree with Tim Holtz Vintage Tree Stampers and Colorbox Clear Embossing Powder, and glued it on the page. To finish off this project, I added the sentiment with Simon Says Stamp Merry and Bright Wafer Dies.
Michelle created a Nordic Winter Wonderland inspired by Delft Blue.
I knew that the fun little Hero Arts Gingerbread House Die would be fun to play with and I was right! It’s such a fun shape! The Altenew Golden Garden Stamps added a touch of whimsy to my Nordic little dwellings. The windows, doors and roofs were stamped with the Make A Gingerbread House Stamps. All of the fun and zero calories!
Sandra adores her sweet winter village dwelling cottage
I made this cute little house in the colors of my interior and the Christmas decorations I have. I had so much fun building it up. I painted it grey as the color of cement. And used a Brick stencil with Textured Sand, mixed with Peacock Feather and Cracked Pistachio to create the brick walls. The roof is made with the Stripes stencil, Crackle Embossing Paste, Walnut Stain Spray and Rock Candy Glitter.
Suzz was thinking of snow.
This time of year is usually very snowy for us here in the Midwest. We have been having a fairly mild Winter so far and it had me thinking of snow for Christmas. I used a mix of mists to create a soft blue background. I layered the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die , Simon Says Stamp Lindeman Snowflake Die on top of the Simon Says Stamp Funky Snowflake Die to create a pretty embellishment. The Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Snowflake stamps made a pretty background pattern. Wishing you and your family the very merriest holidays!
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
