Welcome back to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are challenging you to use twine, ribbon etc and:

Tie It Up

Cassie used lots of Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color her card. She added Crackle Paste through a Markings Layering Stencil and used a Dotted Layering Stencil to add the design on the heart. She used twine, tied around the card, to finish. 

Andrea made earrings with bits of stamped twill ribbon. She colored the beads on her earrings using Ranger Alcohol Ink in Watermelon, Shell Pink and Sunset Orange. The numbers are made from AALL & Create’s Mix and Match Washi Tape and to help connect everything together, she used Tim Holtz’s Loop Pins and We R Makers Cool Metal Standard Eyelets.

Anna-Karin made a mixed media tag with a circle frame / bird nest made of twine. The little birds were die cut with Simon Says Stamp Standing Whirl Bird and Layered Bird Bunch and watercolored with Distress Ink. Tim Holtz Burlap stencil was used to create the background texture.

Barbara created two tags dedicated to Valentine’s Day using the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Love Notes set. To complete her project she adds various Sizzix Dies: Vault Rosettes, Specimen, and Wood Slice. In the background she used Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Layered Stencil Splotches together with a lot of Ranger Ink Distress Ink Spray Stains and Ink Pads

Cheiron created a fun Valentine card using the Bowtied, True Love and Collector dies to create a little box tied up with a sparkly pink bow. She decorated the box with stamps and a sentiment from the Love Notes stamp set and placed in on a background cut with the SImon Says Stamp Pincushion Plate die.

Emma created some handmade gift wrap using the Tim Holtz Love Notes stamp set by Stampers Anonymous and tied them up using Prima Ribbon and rope twine. She accessorised the gifts my making little envelopes using the Sizzix Postale Thinlits die set by Tim Holtz, featuring the bunnies from the Vault Bunny + Chick die set.

Kath has love on her mind and has made Valentine treat boxes and gift card holder using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Pillow Box + Bag Thinlits, decorated with hearts and sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Love Notes and Lumberjack, Simon Says Big XOXO and Sparkly Hearts Gem Stickers, all tied up with ribbons and twine from her stash.

Macarena made a birthday card using a lot of Tim Holtz Distress Scorched Timber color with a pop of purple on the Spellbinders Aster Etched dies. For a background elements she applied random letters from Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric Bulletin dies.

Maura created a mixed media tag using Lynne Perrella’s Paper Artsy LPM 13 stamp, and Paper Artsy Infusions like Orange County and Rusty Car with Ranger Transparent Texture Paste and Simon Says Stamp’s Medium Dots Stencil.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia ALCHEMY 12×12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS PORTRAITS and May Arts WHITE Wrinkled Faux Silk Ribbon with Cut Edge.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Sizzix Mixed Media Thinlits die to add interest to her background. She also used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paste Translucent to add even more texture. To add color, she used Distress Spray and Distress Oxide Spray. To decorate she used a bunch of leaves from Tim’s Wildflower and Modern Floristry.
