Thank you for joining us for the Light Up The New Year Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are challenging you to make a project with a shaker element:

SHAKE IT UP

Monica made a romantic vintage shaker card using a Tim Holtz Cling Exquisite Stamp Set along with Tsukineko Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink for the floral stamp and Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo for the calligraphy one. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix Specimen Dies to make the shaker elements and filled them with vellum sequins. She added some Gilded Foundry Wax to give a little shine to the card.

Andrea made a shaker file folder using Tim Holtz’s Mini File Folders, Specimen die set, Media Marks 1 stamp set and Dina Wakley’s Textures stamp set.

Anna-Karin made a shaker tag with multiple windows using recycled packaging. The windows were filled with Simon Says Stamp Frosty Morning sequins and Unicorn Confetti. Snowflakes were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Snow Love set.

Barbara used the gorgeous Tim Holtz Sizzix Blossom Thinlits Dies from the new collection to create her tag. She used an unusual color palette mixing various shades of purple, pink, and brown Distress Ink Pads. To complete the tag, she used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stencil Splotches as a background, together with the Ranger Distress Texture Paste Opaque and Sizzix Dimensional Domes.

Cheiron created a shaker Valentine using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Retro TV die and Sizzix Round Square Shaker Domes. She created her tone on tone background with the Atomic Elements dies and then added a fun custom sentiment using the Alphanumeric Label dies.

Emma created a shaker tag using Sizzix Shaker Domes on a background that she inked with Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays. She added a clock face from Tim Holtz’s Urban Layers idea-ology pack behind the dome, before adding a Paper Doll, a ruler piece and some Sprocket Gears to complete the scene.

Kath created a shaker card with a floral Valentine’s Day theme using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke Flowers Mini Thinlits and Mosaic 3D Texture Fade from the new Everyday 2023 release and used sentiments from Simon Says Love You Greetings stamp set.

Macarena made a vintage shaker card using for the background the Tim Holtz Field Notes stamp set. The shaker window was made with Tim Holtz Baseboard Frame and filled up with Tonic Champagne Shine sequins.

Maura made a steampunk style tag using Creative Expressions Steampunk Fish stamp, Carabelle Studio’s A Fish’s Hope stamp, and Tim Holtz Typeset Collage Paper.

Meihsia was inspired to create a shaker card using Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12×12 Paper Pad on the background, and made the window of this card with Tim Holtz Idea-ology BASEBOARDS WINDOW FRAMES. I then decorated this card with Tim Holtz Idea-ology SENTIMENTS Label Stickers.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Sizzix Gentlemen Thinlits Dies , Tim Holtz Idea-ology Urban Layers and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Flashcards to decorate the front panel of this coffee filter that she filled with tiny bells.
She also used Distress Inks and Spray to add color.
