Thank you for joining us for the Wild and Wonderful Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to make something:
MASCULINE
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
Please remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
This week we are welcoming the lovely Ann Chuang aka Ann Chuang Crafts into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Ann created a card using a masculine Tim Holtz Baseboard Doll for the focus. For the background she used Tim Holtz Sizzix Typewriter 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder along with Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Spray Stain. She embossed the raised part with Gold Embossing Powder.
Andrea altered a Tim Holtz Mini File Folder using a few of her favorite Tim Holtz stamp sets (Sideshow and Halftone and Rings). She got this handsome gent from Tim Holtz’s Photobooth images.
Anna-Karin made a tag this week, using a stamp from Tim Holtz Sideshow as her focal point. Tim’s Linen Stencil was used to add some of the background texture and the rest is stamped.
Barbara has created a card dedicated to love declined in a masculine way. To make it she used two heart dies by Tim Holtz Sizzix, Lovestruck and Faceted Heart, two stamp sets by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, The Professor 2 and Observations, Ranger Tim Holtz Archival Ink pad Mini kit 4 and 6.
Cheiron used all kinds of Tim Holtz Idea-ology to create her card including a Paper Dolls Portraits as the focal point and the Circuit Texture Fades colored with Statue Foundry Wax as her background. She finished her card with a mixture of Memoir Ephemera, Ephemera Snippets and a Metallic sticker.
Emma altered a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag to create a ticket shape, which she used as a base for a vintage style plaque. She layered a Paper Doll Portrait over a Stencil Card and arranged Industrial Gears and Sprocket Gears around the image, which she aged with Distress Paints and Foundry Wax.
Kath decided to dig in to some of Tim’s new Idea-ology products and decorated a Square Vignette Box with Idea-ology Collage Tiles, Eccentric Remnant Rubs, Gauge Dials, Paper Dolls, Ephemera Number Strips and Curator Snippets and Big Talk Snarky Stickers.
Macarena went a little bit romantic with her love card using Tim Holtz Lovestruck and Countdown dies. She wrote LOVE on the arrow using Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Label dies.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINI on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology WORD KEYS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology WORD PLAQUES.
Sandra made a birthday card for her brother using Distress Oxide Spray Speckled Egg, Hickory Smoke, Walnut Stain, and mixed in Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold. She stacked the numbers of the Classic Lower Alphabet set and gave it a shimmer with Metallique Wax Bronze Age.
Zoey used some of the new Ideaology 2022 items – Paper Dolls Portrait, Gauge Dials and Ephemera Pack Memoir to decorate her tag. She also used Distress Oxide to color the background and Distress Glaze to color the paper doll portrait
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
