Simon Says: Not A Card
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Dark Side Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to make something that is
Not A Card
This is an easy one, you could make something simple like a tag or bookmark, or be more adventurous and decorate a journal page or make a Halloween or Christmas decoration. Whatever you decide to make we will be looking forward to seeing your creation!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Wanda has created a spread in her Small Dylusions Journal using PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paints, PaperArtsy Stencils (PS001, PS016, PS045), the TCW Mini Rosetta Stencil, some PaperArtsy stamps, Texture Paste Opaque Crackle, Black Embossing Paste, and some other fun stuff.
Andrea was inspired by plants and sweet pastel colors for her Tim Holtz Folio makeover. She used paper from Bo Bunny’s Believe collection, Echo Park’s Happiness is Homemade and Carta Bella’s Metropolitan Girl.
Anna-Karin made a spooky apothecary wall-hanger using a Tim Holtz Halloween Baseboard as a base. She had fun making a dimensional skull with Wendy Vecchi’s Clearly for Art Modeling Film and creating a story with Halloween Clippings Stickers.
Barbara take inspiration by Tim Holtz Sizzix die Lantern box. She created a trio of lanterns to decorate Halloween table and she used Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Pumpkinhead, Tim Holtz Stampers anonymous Haunted house and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Stash Kraft Halloween.
Cathie created a glowing skeleton shadowbox using a Tim Holtz 4″ x 6″ burlap panel and the Undertaker skeleton stamped onto vellum. She adorned the shadowbox with Idea-ology Wicked metal pieces and some Small Tattered Florals.
Emma used Tim Holtz’s Vignette Coffin Box to create a dimensional Halloween candy box full of tricks and treats! She decorated the top of the box with Halloween Ephemera, a die cut cobweb, mini pumpkins and skulls.
Kath created a snowy Christmas scene using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tiny Houses BigZL die with lots of Holiday Idea-ology
Lols made a Halloween Framed Panel using a Haunted House Stamp Set and Distress Oxide Inks. She then used Black Soot ink to darken the Frame and make it more spooky!
Macarena comes with a very purple and violet canvas panel. She made the texture using Drip Drop Spellbinders die and Tim Holtz Mosaic stencil. The vibrant colors were made using Blackcurrant and Magenta Infusions and the girl is looking by Prima Petite Round Frame.
Maura altered a wood Kokopelli figure her husband cut out, with Paper Artsy paints, Simon Says Debra stencil, and Simon Says Ornate Leaves stamps. Then, she added a metallic touch with Cosmic Shimmer Harvest Moon Gilding Flakes and the 28 Lilac Lane Embellishment Kit.
Meihsia created an art journal page using Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain on the background and decorated the page with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Botanical Layers Paperie.
For Sandra it was a perfect time to make an art journal spread, and break out the Opal Magic paint Violet Green along with different color Infusions to build up the background
Zoey is obsessed with ATCs and Paper Dolls by Tim Holtz – she also used Distress Oxide to create this friendship theme ATC
