It’s Nikki’s  last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Nikki has used Red, White and Blue PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics (Cherry RedHeavy Cream and Midnight) to create gel plate backgrounds for these birthday cards. She has used the hexagon stamps from PaperArtsy stamp set TS059 by Tracy Scott in the printed backgrounds, the patterned middle layer and as the embossed features on the layered cards.

Anna-Karin made a tag with a red and blue background stamped with the Simon Says Stamp Halftone Background stamp. She also used a Tim Holtz Junk Drawer baseboard piece and a Quote Flair button.

Barbara has created a classic card with stars and stripes to celebrate the 4th of July. She used a stamp from the new release by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Observations, and two old stencils, Stripes and Falling Stars. She completed the card with Idea-ology Numeric, Tim Holtz Sizzix Celebration Words Script Thinlits Die.

Cheiron created a card to celebrate the 4th using the 4’s from the Sizzix Countdown Thinlits dies as her background. She colored them with Distress Crayons in Faded Jeans, Picket Fence and Fired Brick. She added details from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Inquisitive set and added a Mini Flair Idea-ology embellishement.

Emma is celebrating the 4th of July with her hand painted, stars and stripes themed Mini Etcetera Tag. She used her favourite stamp set, Inquisitive from the brand new Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz release as the focal point and completed the tag with Vintage Flair Embellishment, Stitched Scrap and the USA which was die cut using the Sizzix Alphanumeric Stretch Thinlits Dies by Tim Holtz.

Kath created a card with a nod to the 4th of July but instead of stars and stripes she went with a floral theme using new releases from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous, Floral Outline, Bold Sayings and Mini Dotted Line Layering Stencil from Set 51 with Faded Type, an old favourite.

Lols  also went the floral route and white heat embossed a new Simon Says Stamp Delicate Outline Flowers Cling Stamp and blended with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink before splattering with Faded Jeans Oxide Ink Spray. She used a Simon Says Stamp You Are Simply The Best Die Set and added a few bubbles and sequins

Macarena hasn’t follow the 4th of July theme but went into a nautical mood making a marine birthday card. She used a combination of Ranger Distress Paints in blue and red and for the focal point she took the Prima Marketing Mariner’s Voyage Mould.

Maura made a travel album using Graphic 45’s Catch of the Day paper pack and Simon Says Stamp’s Schoolhouse Red and Soft Navy cardstock.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 3 for the brick wall on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Keepsakes Ephemera and Ranger Dina Wakley Media Speak Out Chipboard Shapes

Sandra made a Red/White/Blue card with Distress Oxide Crackling Campfire and Faded Jeans along with Infusions In The Navy and Terracotta to give it more depth.

Zoey used the brand new Stamp Set from Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps INQUISITIVE and she also used the new Archival Ink in Black Soot. For the background she used Distress Paint, Tim Holtz Layering Stencil STARS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology SMALL TALK Stickers

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
