Simon Says: Shimmer and Shine
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Stars Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to add shimmer and/or shine to your project.
Shimmer and Shine
Most of us like a little sparkle ;-)
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Carol used a Simon’s Exclusive Shine On stamp set, Stacked Stars dies and lots of shimmery and shiny papers for this challenge.
Andrea shined up the edges of her cards with Simon Says Stamp’s silver embossing powder. These sassy ladies came to life with the use of Dina Wakley’s Text Scribbles stamp set, Tim Holz’s Noble Gent stamp set and some fabulous Photobooth Vintage Photos.
Anna-Karin thinks that shimmer and shine works great for Halloween and made a tag. Most of the shine comes from Tim Holtz Mica Spray and Halloween Deco Sheets, forming a background to the fun Pumpkinheads.
Barbara used a lot of shimmer elements to create her card: Idea-ology Deco sheets , Distress glitter, Stickles Copper, for the background new Tim Holtz Stamp and Stencil Exclusive Stamptember Set
Cathie created a fun Halloween card using the Tim Holtz Haunted House and Village Graveyard dies. The shimmer and shine background is created with Distress inks and Distress Clear Rock Candy dry glitter.
Emma created a sparkly Halloween centrepiece full of shimmer and shine using Tim Holtz’s Witchcraft die and surrounding it with mini pumpkins and skulls and lighting it up using a Prima Light Strand inserted into an altered jar.
Kath created a card with lots of shimmer and shine using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Kraft Stock with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stitched Rectangles, Garden Greens and Wildflowers Thinlits.
Lols made a simple Christmas card using the Tim Holtz Stamp and Stencil Exclusive Stamptember Set. She used 3D Sparkle Puff Embossing Powder for the snowman and Sticky Stuff Embossing Powder and a sprinkling of Prisma Glitter for the stencilled background. She also used Lindy’s Gang Sassy Sapphire Starburst Spray for extra shimmer
Macarena made a very rich in layers and details girly card, all in pink and silver. She made her background using a Simon Says Stamp Large Dots Stencil and Grit Paste. For the frame she took Sizzix Ornate Frame 2 and a Simon’s Exclusive Stitched Circle. She kept her bicolor card using black and white Botanical Layers by Tim Holtz and added silver Butterflies.
Maura created a shimmery art journal page using Nathalie Kalbach’s Elephant foam stamps from Stampendous, Dina Wakley’s Scribble Sticks, and Prima’s Acrylic Paint Sparks in Fairy Wings and Mermaid Sparkle.
Meihsia was inspired to create an art journal page using the new STAMPtember® Exclusive Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp for the winter scene, and added some shimmer and shine with Simon Says Stamp Embossing Powder Gold and Ranger Snowflake Tinsel Embossing Powder.
Sandra went for a shimmer and shine Halloween card using the Batground stencil and Texture Paste mixed with Metallic Gunmetal paint. The Raven die got some shimmer because of the Nuvo Pure Platinum Mousse. And the shine is from the Foil Cardstock behind the cut out Happy from the Holiday Words 2 Thin dies.
Zoey used Distress Crayons, Prima Marketing Colors and Tim Holtz tattered Florals to alter this wood ticket piece
