Sandra says that maybe you can’t change the weather, but you can change the way you think about things! She made a gorgeous home decor piece using a Tim Holtz The Park Die Set, for the background she used Multi-Level Texture Fades Swirls and give it a natural touch she added some Funky Nature flowers.
Anna-Karin made an art journal page about the beauty even of a rainy day. She worked on scrap pieces of paper and used the Simon Says Stamp Forest Scenery stamp set as well as the Capital B Beautiful die. The page was done in Dina Wakley’s Media Journal.
Cheiron is hoping for some sunnier days and created a tag with Distress Spray Stains and Distress Matte Texture paste and the Stampers Anonymous Rays stencil inspired by the latest Tim Holtz Saturday demo. She added a Paper Doll, along with some wings created with the Sizzix Winged 3D Impresslits and stars cut from Swirling Stars dies. She finished her tag with Remnant Rubs and some Clippings stickers.
Emma created a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag and used a solo Paper Doll sitting on an umbrella, die cut using The Gent Thinlits Die Set by Tim Holtz. She created a background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Oxide Inks before adding Transluscent Grit Paste through a Tim Holtz Mini Layering Stencil, and embossing with Distress Embossing Glaze.
Kath created an Art Journal page featuring that age old saying “April Showers bring May Flowers” using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Architecture, Faded Type and Grunged, Splotches and Mini Floral Layering Stencils to add interest to the background and decorated with the umbrella from Tim Holtz/Sizzix The Gent, flowers from Funky Nature and Aphanumeric Stretch Lower, Bold and Tiny Type Upper Thinlits for the title.
Macarena made a colorful and vibrant card using Simon Says Stamp Follow The Rainbows stamp and Tim Holtz Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 2 die. She built the background with printing technique using Visible Image Reinassaince stencil.
Maura has been dreaming of spring, so she created a card to celebrate it, no matter the weather. She used Tim Holtz and Sizzix The Park, Funky Trees, and Funky Toadstools die sets, along with Tim’s Kitsch Flamingo ink to create a pink sky.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Rays to create the sunshine on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlet Die.
Sandra made a sunny card hoping Spring will come soon, and used the Rays stencil with Texture Paste and mostly used Liquid Acrylics True Yellow and Avocado Green to add color to it.
Zoey used Distress Paint to add color to the background of her tag, she also used Distress Crayons in Salty Ocean and Tim Holtz Idea Ology Typeset collage paper to add some interest to the background. The new set of SOLOS Paper Dolls have such a fantastic size that are perfect for tags and the cute little index clips is a nice metal touch.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
