Estelle decided to create a book cover for todays challenge. For the background she used a gelly plate with distress paint and spray distress ink along with Tim Holtz stencils. For the focal point, she used a Tim Holtz Lady Rose stamp sets stamped using with archival ink on plain tissue wrap and colored on the reverse side with distress crayon.

Anna-Karin made a heart resist background using the Simon Says Stamp Simple Duo Stencil and Distress Inks. The sentiment was die cut with the Simon Says Stamp You Matter die.

Barbara used Distress Resist Spray to create the background for her Etcetera Tag Mini. New Distress Kitsch Flamingo is the star of the project together with Sizzix Retro Type, two stencils by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Scribbles and Hearts and Idea-ology Found Relatives.

Cheiron created a tag with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Faceted Heart as her focal point and colored it with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Paint, and sprayed it with Distress Resist Spray and embosssed it with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze. She created the inky background with Distress Stains, the Stampers Anonymous Plus stencil and finished her tag with Clippings stickers.

Emma made a tag booklet and couldn’t resist the temptation of using the brand new colour member of the Tim Holtz Distress family, Kitsch Flamingo, combined with various Distress Oxide Sprays, Spray Stains and Distress Micro Glaze to create a resist background, together with some gorgeous pink flowers, die cut using the Bloom Colorize die.

Kath used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Layering Stencil and Ranger Transparent Matte Texture Paste to create a resist on Distress Watercolor Card, coloured with Kitsch Flamingo and Chipped Sapphire Distress oxide Sprays and stamped with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type. She used Simon Says Love Shadow die and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text for the sentiment and decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Crochet Thinlits and Idea-ology Paper Doll.

Lols made a card using Distress Resist Spray for the background and a little Distress Micro Glaze on the Feathered Friends wings to create a highlighted, resist area. She used blended Distress Inks and Splatters along with a Small Tattered Florals Die Set and a Love You sentiment to finish.

Macarena used her favorite resist technique with Distress Micro Glaze and Geometric Arcs stencil. She mixed Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Antique Linen and Pumice Stone inks on the background. She embellished it with Bottled Up Bigz die and some Wildflowers.

Maura was apparently channeling spring with her art journal page this week. She used hot glue for her resist, with the Surebonder Glue Gun and Glue Sticks, and added bright spritzes of color with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and Twisted Citron sprays. She added more color with Dina Wakley’s Gloss Sprays in Lemon and Ocean.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media art journal page using Stamperia Sea World Lady Stamps and colored it with Daniel Smith Watercolor. For the resist technique, Ranger Embossing Powder Clear and Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze were applied on the stamped images.

Sandra used Minc Foil as a resist and applied it with the Renaissance stamp set and Toner Ink. For the colors she used Distress Ink Worn LipstickTattered Rose and Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick

Zoey used Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze to create a resist effect on her tag. She also used a bunch of distress ink + oxide to color the background. She decorated the tag with Stencils from StampersAnonymous, paper doll and wordings from Tim Holtz Embellishments.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
