Simon Says: Gift It

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Let It Snow Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

Christmas will soon be here and we thought it would be nice to dedicate a challenge to think about gifts. Handmade gifts are always well received, so maybe you would like to make someone something special, or you can make something to be used for the wrapping, tag, bag, box, paper etc.

Gift It

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! It is Jo’s  last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your fabulous creations over the past month! It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us! :-)

Jo created two packs of note cards as gifts for her friends. The note cards are stamped with circles and sentiments from the Altenew Halftone Circles Stamp Set using either Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad Mini Kit 1 or Distress Ink Pad Mini Kit 2 and black Ranger Archival Ink, then decorated with a die cut flower using Tim Holtz Sizzix Garden Greens Thinlets. The cards are presented in a wallet made from either Simon Says Stamp Cornflower Blue or Cotton Candy card stock and adorned using the same stamps, inks and die cuts.

Andrea made gift card holders and envelopes using some fabulous dies and punch tools.  She made the envelopes with We R Memory Keeper’s Envelope Punch Board and embellished the front of the cards with trees from Penny Black’s Modern Xmas Tree dies.  She added some fun sentiments onto the envelopes using Concord & 9th’s Holiday Cheer Tags clear stamps.

Anna-Karin is planning to make quit a few Christmas gifts this year, since they are often more special than store-bought gifts. This week, she altered an old frame and turned it into a home for a bird stamped with Tim Holtz Festive Overlay set and surrounded by Mini Holiday Greens and Funky Festive die cuts.

Barbara, like every year, prepares for Christmas a small hand-made gift for her best friend. This year she used an Idea-ology  Vignette box, Tim Holtz Sizzix Wise men, Tim Holtz Sizzix Tree light,Tim Holtz Sizzix Snowy stars, Tim Holtz Ranger Distress oxides.

Cheiron created a bag which is the perfect size to hold some jewelry and a gift card using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Treat Bag die cut with some foiled paper from the Christmas Paperie Paper Stash and a Paper Doll from the Christmas Paper Dolls Paperie and finished it with a Christmas Clippings Sticker.

Emma created a gift bag for the Christmas table using Tim Holtz’s Treat Bag Thinlits die set. She stamped a background using the Music and Advert Stamp set and completed the bag with a festive floral arrangement created with the Funky Festive Dies all frosted with Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

Kath created a shaker gift bag with a festive snowflake theme using TimHoltz/Sizzix Stitched Rectanges, Flurry 2 and Swirling Stars Thinlits decorated with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Weathered Winter and Music and Advert stamps

Maura couldn’t resist using the cute Winter Gnome from Picket Fence Studios to make some gift tags, along with the AALL and Create Stencil 27, Prima Flowers Tropicals and Classics Watercolor Confections and Simon’s gorgeous Peacock Teal card stock.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media Christmas gift tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Mini Wreath and Bow, and Idea-Ology Trophy Antlers to decorate the tag.

Sandra made a Steampunk inspired birthday card using the amazing Mechanical 3D Embossing Folder and gave it a metallic look by applying Nuvo Mousse Seaspray Green and Black Ash

Zoey used a Pillow Box die to create a gift wrap for her friends birthday. She used Distress Paint and Ranger inkssentials Inky Roll to add color to it!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
