It is Alison’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
There’s almost too much beginning with ‘S’ in Alison’s final project for the month. There’s the Stargazing Skeleton (from the Poisonous stamp set), the Skulls, the Spider, the Silvery Stars, the Stones, the tree Stumps, not to mention that she’s used Stamps, Stencils, Sprays and Spatter, and almost all her main inky colours have a word starting with ‘S’ in their names too. If you want to see the effect by Spooky candlelight, you’ll just have to visit Words and Pictures!
Andrea embraced the S theme by employing Sizzix supplies, stitching, stencils and stamps! Among other things, she used Tim Holtz’s Abandoned paper, the Sizzix Stacked Tags Thinlits die set and stamps by Dina Wakley (For the Love of Circles) and Inky antics (Big Bold Borders).
Anna-Karin was inspired by a new box of Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks when she made this pastel journal page. She also used stamps and stencils. The background was done in Dina’s White Media Journal and the face was stamped with the Interesting Faces set.
Barbara has been inspired by the word Skull! She created a Vignette box with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamp set Life of the party, Tim Holtz Sizzix Tangled Twigs, Ranger Dylusions Ink Spray Pomegranate, Ranger Distress Ink Spray Stain Frayed Burlap and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Boneyard.
Cheiron says ‘S’ is for “shrooms” and she has colored some of the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Tiny Toadstools in magical colors. She colored in the images using a Detailer Waterbrush and Distress Oxides. She mounted her panel onto a colorful panel colored with Distress Oxide Sprays.
Emma chose ‘S’ for spellbound and created a spooky canvas panel for Halloween. Inspired by Roald Dahl’s The Witches, she used her favourite Halloween Paper Doll and surrounded them with Skull Fragments, Spider Adornments and Bat Crazy Die Cuts.
Kath chose Spooky and created a Shadow Box card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Decayed Layering Stencil and Sizzix Ghost Town and Frightful Things Thinlits
Macarena chose Steampunk and made a very rough card using Stamperia Circuit Board stencil for the background and the Prima Marketing Mechanica mould for the inside of the bulb covered with lots of Prima Marketing Rust Effect Pastes.
Maura chose Serenity for her letter S, inspired by her yoga and meditation. She worked in an art journal, using Visible Image’s Mindful Moments stamp set, Simon Says Stamp Debra stencil and Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearl Inks Set 2.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag with the sassy girl image from Inky Antics Sassy & Saucy Clear Stamp Set and the background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 39.
Sandra chose the S for Scary as it’s Halloween season and she transformed this old gent of the Paper Dolls set into a spooky one giving him hollow eyes, she used the traditional Halloween colors for her background using Infusions Blackcurrant, Orange County and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Fallen Leaves.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
