All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone!
Please remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
This week we’re welcoming back the lovely Estelle aka atouscrap into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Estelle made a rainbow card using the Simon Says Stamp Topography stamp. She colored the background with Tim Holtz watercolor pencils. She die cut the bird and the stamp frame with the Simon Says Stamp beautiful dove and modern postage stamp rectangles dies.
Andrea made a tag representing the sun (flowers) and rain (mushrooms). She used Simon Says Stamps’ Mushroom Stems die set and their Simple Flowers die set. The background tag is from Simple Stories’ Color Palette Designer Tags kit.
Anna-Karin made a rainy days card. The cute image comes from Simon Says Stamp Happy Days and was colored with Prismacolor pencils. For the rain effect, she embossed vellum with Simon Says Stamp Soft Snowfall folder and stamped the background with Simon Says Stamp Halftone Background stamp.
Barbara created a tag using the 3D Embossing Folder Roses by Tim Holtz Sizzix. She chose Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral – Shaded Lilac – Wilted Violet, Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pad ROSE Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pad MARINE , Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pad CANTALOUPE to color her project. At the center, there is a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Dolls, in the background she used a text stamp from the set Gothic Tapestry by Stampers Anonymous.
Cheiron is ready for summer weather and the beach! She created an ocean inspired hello card using Simon Says Stamp Cling Waves background. She stamped and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and added Distress Spray Stains and Distress Mica Stains. To finish her card she added a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp So Swell Stamps & Dies.
Emma‘s card is inspired by a song and she used the Simon Says Stamp Sunburst Wafer Die for a background to her two Mischievous love cats. She combined this with Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies, including the umbrella die cut from The Park and clouds from the Christmas Cutouts die set before finishing with a quote using the Alphanumeric Label die set.
Kath created a card with the saying “April Showers Bring May Flowers” in mind, using Simon Says Leafy Sprig, Layered Warbler and Mother’s Day Flowers dies along with the umbrella from Tim Holtz/Sizzix The Gent Thinlits stamped with Stampers Anonymous Tiny Prints.
Macarena made a colorful rainy day card using Simon Says Stamp Follow The Rainbows stamps set, stamping and masking several umbrellas and coloring them with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. She also added blue clouds from Tim Holtz Sizzix Edison Colorize dies.
Maura created an art journal page with the theme that umbrellas are not just for the rain. She used Simon Says Stamp’s Follow the Rainbows stamp set, fussy cut her umbrella from Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Glitter pack, and the bright yellow skirt from Simon’s Rainbow Splash paper pack. She started with a layer of collage, using Tim Holtz’s Palette Collage Paper, and the finishing touch was adding the adorable rabbits from Colorado Craft Company Sunset Rabbits set.
Meihsia was inspired to create a tag using Simon Says Clear Stamps Howdy Dear Friend on the background, colored it with Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A Real Brush and added a sentiment sticker with Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS.
Zoey used Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Thinlits die to add texture to the background then she used Simon Says Stamp reinkers (raindrop , dew and mist ) to add color to her tag.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
