You are Loved + Ombre Inking
Hi readers! Happy Tuesday! Please join me in welcoming back Yana Smakula as a guest on our blog! She’s created these two beauties with some new Hero Arts products as well as some Simon Says Stamp Exclusives!
Enjoy!
I love to create custom backgrounds using various small image stamps. Background stamps are fun (and I still use them often), but I feel I have more freedom when I’m using smaller images to build a background. This also allows to me create multicolored backgrounds like I’m sharing today. I used new Hero Arts Ombre ink pads for both of my projects and inked some images up using a darker color of ink and some using lighter.
I added dry embossing to one of the backgrounds using this grid stencil, this is one of my favorite techniques. I rarely use stencils for stenciling, but I love to use them for dry embossing. To give both of my cards something little extra I die cut this songbird die and a couple circles from Luminary Circles out of gold mirror cardstock and scattered behind the heat embossed sentiment.
Both stamped panels were mounted onto white A2 top folding card bases and a narrow strip of Hero Arts layering paper was added to both on both sides to emphasize the main panel.
