Welcome Baby

Pamela-Mar02

Hi readers! Happy Saturday to you! It’s getting closer and closer to Spring in the mid-west, and that makes me one very happy girl! Spring seems to inevitably bring lots of baby announcements and arrivals, so I thought that our guest Pamela Ho, made a brilliant choice for her card theme this month!

For a full supplies list and a brief description of the card concept, read on below!

Enjoy!

I wanted the stars to be metallic gold so I colored my white embossing paste with the Delicata gold pigment ink refill.  I applied a generous layer of colored embossing paste onto the stencil for more texture and dimension as the background.

I colored and fussy cut the elephants from the Paper Smooches stamp set – A Little Lovin’.  I didn’t have any gold thread so I took some sewing thread and colored it with the Delicata gold as well.  The card was finished off with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

  1. What a cute card, Pamela! I love “ephelants”, especially this pink one! Got to get some stencils and embossing paste, this technique rocks. Cheers!

  2. Pamela this card is delightful. What made you put the twine on this card – it looks great, but I would never think of that! Thanks for the inspiration.
