Spellbinders Holiday Blog Hop + Partial Die Cutting On the Edge
Hello everyone, it’s Nina-Marie here with you today for a special Holiday Blog Hop hosted by Spellbinders! Spellbinders is one of the leading steel-rule die creators of our industry; and what better way to celebrate the Holiday season than with a card featuring a clever die cutting technique and Spellbinders products?
Today’s video showcases a partial die cut “on the edge” design, using the Spellbinders Naughty or Nice die set and the Stephanie Low Tree cling stamp and die set. A design like this is a great way to use those coordinating dies that are available with many of our favorite stamp sets.
To color in the tree I used Prima Metallic Accents mixed into Zig Clean Color markers. This creates a shimmery, metallic sheen to the watercoloring and looks gorgeous!
The beautiful “be merry” greeting from Spellbinders’ Naughty and Nice die set is cut from Gold Mirror cardstock from Tonic Studios; this matches the gold embossed tree perfectly.
I hope you will check out the video below to see how to make this fun, partial die cut card! Also make sure you visit the Spellbinders blog to find all the details for the blog hop; plus leave a comment here on the Simon blog for a chance to win a $25 Spellbinders gift certificate!
