Watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Markers

kindness top

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday! I’m always so happy to welcome back the bubbly and fun Laura Bassen to our blog as a guest! She always sprinkles in fun trivia in her blog along with teaching so be sure to tune in to find out the plural of Ranunculus! The flower that is about as hard to spell as it pronounce! Ha! I love the way she colored the Painted Kindness in ombre, and added a speckle of black and white ink with a paint brush! You may just have to collect all of the Zig Clean Color Markers after watching this!! Be sure to watch the video, and enjoy!

  1. I love getting more help for using my Zigs! Gorgeous card–love the design! Wish they’d make a second 24 package for those of us who just bought the 24 count & now would like more colors.

  2. You kill me Laura. I love the grammar lessons!!! I feel so smart!!! I have the zig markers too and haven’t really ‘Jumped” in with them, but after watching how you are dong it, I think head first is how I will go!!! I love this card, the colors and the way you did the die cut off the card edge. Thank you as always for a great video!!!!

  3. WOW – your card AND video make me feel SO HAPPY Laura :)
LOVE your ranunculi (wink wink), LOVE your colour combo, LOVE your FUN video AND I LOVE the memories that come flooding through when I see these flowers too!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing!!!
PS – I can’t even bring myself to timidly tap with my brush to add splatters yet … might have to take some brave pills and just-do-it!!!

  4. Love that stamp set! How do you avoid the overspray with that glue, saw you had a box, but it ends up everywhere (including up my nose), even when I barely spray it! Saw someone use dies to cut foamtastic to add depth with just 1 piece of paper, but I am worried it would bend the dies. Any thoughts?

  5. So beautiful Laura! The gradient of colors on the kindness die cut is gorgeous and the blooms are so pretty! Your projects and videos always make me smile!

  6. What a gorgeous card Laura! Love listening to you commentate…always makes me laugh and we can all use a reason to smile :)

  7. Just love the Clean Colour Zig’s! Got a few colours two weeks ago and they seem to never hit the draw, but stay on my crafttable somehow :)…
    These flowers look great watercoloured!

  8. Love the card. In fact I had to watch the video, just because love love Laura’s videos! Now I need to move fast or I’ll be late for work. LOL.
