Watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Markers

kindness top

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday! I’m always so happy to welcome back the bubbly and fun Laura Bassen to our blog as a guest! She always sprinkles in fun trivia in her blog along with teaching so be sure to tune in to find out the plural of Ranunculus! The flower that is about as hard to spell as it pronounce! Ha! I love the way she colored the Painted Kindness in ombre, and added a speckle of black and white ink with a paint brush! You may just have to collect all of the Zig Clean Color Markers after watching this!! Be sure to watch the video, and enjoy!

  1. Great card! I love my Zig pens but haven’t used the a lot. Enjoyed watching you using them.

  2. Brilliant…love how you cut the oval out for the sentiment. The flowers, colors and sentiment are so amazing!

  3. Oh, what an awesome video and the card turned out so cute because of the watercolor technique!

  4. Love how this card turned out but I could have cried when Laura cut the oval in her “watercolorcardstock”! It was so pretty I would not have had the heart to cut into it!!! But, it became a beautiful card, and that’s why she’s a famous card designer and I’m not :-)

  5. Love this card and the colors and love Laura’s videos–she’s so awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Always makes me smile to watch your videos, Laura! Beautiful ranunculus(es)! I’ve been holding out against buying those Zig Clean Color markers and just trying to use my regular Zig markers but you are making it hard to resist!

  7. This card makes me happy because it’s so beautiful and sad because I never knew what a ranunculus looked like until I started watching card blogs. I must see a real one soon.

  8. Another really beautiful card! I love the soft water color effect. Thanks for the inspiration!

  9. I have been watching you use the Zig markers and I think thT I am ready to use my Zig a bit more often and just GO FOR IT! Thanks for your tutorials…and your stories! I love hearing your stories!

  10. so enjoy your videos. . . .not only do you produce beautiful cards, you are a fountain of trivial information . . . . .smiles!

  11. I’m still intimidated by the zigs. I just need to start playing with them and get over it. Thanks for the inspiration! Beautiful card!

  13. OMGosh I still giggle at ‘tittle’ !!! I feel like such a child LOL!!!! And I love what you say when referring to TH Distress Cardstock!!! Silly girl ;)

  15. Absolutely gorgeous! These are my favorite stamped flowers! I’ve had my Zigs for a few months now and have not watercolored with them yet… def on my To-Do list! TFS!

  16. I love seeing a video when I have the stuff! The flowers ( tomato tomato ) and the markers everything except that adhesive spray. Is it safe to use that spray inside or should you be stepping outside to do that? I always wonder about that kind of stuff. I really enjoyed your video you are so much fun and your art is beautiful. Your new friend, a winner of an online class…YAY!
