Hello and welcome to day 3 of Summer School!

Today we’re sharing a card created by Nichol Magouirk using lots of products from the new Teacher’s Pet release! This card would be great for men and women teachers and features some awesome products and techniques!

The black embossing paste over the black cardstock is perfect for some great texture without being too obvious. And like yesterday’s card by Shari, Nichol chose to have the the Teacher die-cut be the punch of color on the card.

The layered tags and mix of stars on the background, pull this card together and make it that much more special! Those little details don’t seem like a lot, but they really make the card!

To see how Nichol created her card, you can watch the video below.

Summer School wouldn’t be complete without the chance to win some crafty school supplies, right!?

  1. I went back to school right after labor day as a child. Even though my son is all grown up I love seeing all these cute teacher projects. I really like the black embossing paste background on this card.

  2. When I was in school, we didn’t start until after Labor Day. Now it seems that if you wait that long, you’re really late.

  3. Great card. I always love the results when working with embossing paste. Currently my little one is too young for school. I remember when I was young being able to start school after labor day. I now work in a school and we go back to work the end of August. :-( Summer is almost over, but glad I can still see the beautiful cards!

  4. My kids are old enough for school yet. But I always started the day after Labor Day. And shopping for school supplies was my favorite day of summer!

  5. I loved back to school time! Getting all new supplies: pencils, eversharps, notebooks, binders….Remember the Trapper Keeper? Oh, kind of the same way I feel about new craft supplies! Oh, what a feeling!

  6. My kids used to start school right after Labor Day. I was lucky. I started mid September! Thanks for a chance to win!

  7. My kids are all grown up now but we all went back to school the day after Labor Day which is always the first Monday in September.

  8. WOW!!! I love the black embossing paste! Stencils are my new thing! My kids go back in 2 more weeks, it seems weird to me because when I was in school we never started before Labor Day, but we also got out at the same time they do now, weird! Thanks for this great prize and the chance to win it!

  9. When I was still in school we usually went back the week after my birthday (which is on August 15th) Yeah. Some gift. ;)

  10. I went back to school after Labour Day. Nicole your card is beautiful. Love the tone on tone background. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win.

  11. I only have one daughter who is still going to school. Last Tuesday was her first day, but school didn’t start until this week. She teaches 6th grade Social Studies. This is her second year teaching and she loves it.

  12. My kids are grown but they always started school around Aus. 5th which is my son’s birthday. Sometimes the first day would fall on his birthday and that excited him when he was little but not so much when he was older. :)

  13. I always started back to school after Labour Day. I love the alphabet background on this beautiful card.

  14. Love love love all the layers and stars! Another card that could easily be masculine! Thanks Nichol, for all your creativity! As for school, we go back Aug. 27. Fun times!

  15. OMG OMG OMG!! TOTALLY LOVED the Video and the KIDDOS sharing what they liked about the Mini Lunch Box Cards!! I was SMILING so BIG!! =) What a Group of AMAMZING and Great looking kids you have!! =) Gotta LOVE that they SOOOOOOOOO have your AWESOME personality and I think your oldest son needs to share a Video on his Pizza Making skills with a Recipe too!! =) THANKS for sharing and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

  16. Love that black-on-black look! We always started after Labor Day but they sometimes start earlier now. Suits me just fine: I think school should be open ten or even eleven months out of the year!

  17. Great card! I can hardly wait to order some of these goodies next week. My daughter starts school the first week of September. She has been asking me to take her to school every day since about three days into Summer. We are having some great adventures, but I am glad she enjoys school so much.

  18. Summer for me was always from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Now my kids get out early June and go back mid August. They’re already starting this coming Wednesday. Love the colors in this card.
