Summer School with Nichol Magouirk
Hello and welcome to day 3 of Summer School!
Today we’re sharing a card created by Nichol Magouirk using lots of products from the new Teacher’s Pet release! This card would be great for men and women teachers and features some awesome products and techniques!
The black embossing paste over the black cardstock is perfect for some great texture without being too obvious. And like yesterday’s card by Shari, Nichol chose to have the the Teacher die-cut be the punch of color on the card.
The layered tags and mix of stars on the background, pull this card together and make it that much more special! Those little details don’t seem like a lot, but they really make the card!

When I was in school, we started after Labor Day.
My kids started in August; too early
I went back to school right after labor day as a child. Even though my son is all grown up I love seeing all these cute teacher projects. I really like the black embossing paste background on this card.
When I was in school, we didn’t start until after Labor Day. Now it seems that if you wait that long, you’re really late.
Great card. I always love the results when working with embossing paste. Currently my little one is too young for school. I remember when I was young being able to start school after labor day. I now work in a school and we go back to work the end of August. :-( Summer is almost over, but glad I can still see the beautiful cards!
My daughter when back to school three days ago…really early. I feel like summer is over.

I always went back the first Wednesday after Labor Day. Now my son goes back during the last week of August. I think it cuts the summer short!
My kids are old enough for school yet. But I always started the day after Labor Day. And shopping for school supplies was my favorite day of summer!
August 18 is the first day of school. We still have time for some fun :)
I loved back to school time! Getting all new supplies: pencils, eversharps, notebooks, binders….Remember the Trapper Keeper? Oh, kind of the same way I feel about new craft supplies! Oh, what a feeling!

My kids are all grown up now but we all went back to school the day after Labor Day which is always the first Monday in September.
WOW!!! I love the black embossing paste! Stencils are my new thing! My kids go back in 2 more weeks, it seems weird to me because when I was in school we never started before Labor Day, but we also got out at the same time they do now, weird! Thanks for this great prize and the chance to win it!

I only have one daughter who is still going to school. Last Tuesday was her first day, but school didn’t start until this week. She teaches 6th grade Social Studies. This is her second year teaching and she loves it.

My kids are grown but they always started school around Aus. 5th which is my son’s birthday. Sometimes the first day would fall on his birthday and that excited him when he was little but not so much when he was older. :)

Love that black-on-black look! We always started after Labor Day but they sometimes start earlier now. Suits me just fine: I think school should be open ten or even eleven months out of the year!

Great card! I can hardly wait to order some of these goodies next week. My daughter starts school the first week of September. She has been asking me to take her to school every day since about three days into Summer. We are having some great adventures, but I am glad she enjoys school so much.
Summer for me was always from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Now my kids get out early June and go back mid August. They’re already starting this coming Wednesday. Love the colors in this card.
