Hello and welcome to day 3 of Summer School!

Today we’re sharing a card created by Nichol Magouirk using lots of products from the new Teacher’s Pet release! This card would be great for men and women teachers and features some awesome products and techniques!

The black embossing paste over the black cardstock is perfect for some great texture without being too obvious. And like yesterday’s card by Shari, Nichol chose to have the the Teacher die-cut be the punch of color on the card.

The layered tags and mix of stars on the background, pull this card together and make it that much more special! Those little details don’t seem like a lot, but they really make the card!

To see how Nichol created her card, you can watch the video below.

Summer School wouldn’t be complete without the chance to win some crafty school supplies, right!?

  1. Love the idea of the black embossing paste. Great idea to also heat embossing the A+ on the start. My girls went back this week on Thursday. They were excited and one even thought Friday was Thursday and couldn’t wait to go back. Just to happy my girls love school so much.

  2. Love the texture the embossing paste provides and the black on black is so cool! My kiddo goes back after Labor Day.

  3. I work in a school and we start back the day after Labor Day. It is very exciting to see the faces of the students looking forward to a new year.

  4. Another wonderful teacher card! When my children were in school, it started the Tuesday after Labor Day. That’s when my husband and I started as well. The pits for me was my birthday is Sept 6 so I ALWAYS got school clothes. I would not have been happy to take a card to my teachers. :)

  5. I don’t have kids yet. I usually started school about a week before Labor Day. Thanks for the chance to win!

  6. This is such a great teacher card! I’m a teacher myself and I enjoy every card I receive! Especially the handmade ones from my students. :)

My daughter goes back to school Aug 25 and she’s already looking forward to going back! But before she does, we’re going to get one last camping trip in!

  7. First day after Labour Day is always the start of school in Ontario (not sure about the rest of Canada, but might be the same.) which is nice,we have one last long weekend before the alarm clock!

  8. My youngest daughter graduated college in May–Yippppeeeee!!!
My grandson starts school on August 20. I am a little sad about it, because it means less time to do fun things with him.

  9. No kids but I’m still enjoying (and learning) from the videos. Loved the black paste used with the stencil. Very masculine card idea
