Altenew strives to bring you fresh, innovative and versatile designs. Their stamps are made from high quality clear photopolymer, and are manufactured in the USA.

 STAMPtember-Tasnim

I started this card by stamping the tree and the bicycle with a very light ink. I used Distress ink Antique Linen as it is one my lightest colors. Once the images are colored, the light outlines don’t show much, giving them a natural look. I used Copic markers for coloring. For the leaves on the tree, I simply dabbed the tip of the markers at random places to create a speckled look. For the bicycle, after it was colored with the same pink and gray markers, I used a 0.3 point black pen to draw the spokes of the wheels and the chain assembly.

I adhered a 1” wide gray card stock along the bottom of the card to mimic a pavement, and stamped the shadows with Versamark ink. To add a little sparkle, I adhered a thin strip of silver glitter card stock where the images and their shadows meet. The finished card is 3.5″ x 5.5″.

  1. I LOVE that reflection effect, gotta try it! And the bicycle card is so soft and pretty! I am really enjoying Stamptember!

  2. Love the reflection of the skyline in the vellum and the bicycle card is super cute with the copic colored tree.

  3. Such a clever way to capture the reflection! (and especially appropriate for that image of Sydney harbour). I love the stamp set with the shadows, too. Love the way those girls from Altenew think!

  4. Love the cards! Thanks for the ‘reflection’ tips. I think the bicycle card is my favorite, so simple but unique. Thanks also for introducing me to Altenew!

  5. Both cards are wonderful. The tip to use vellum to create a reflection is so smart!!! I would have never thought to do that. And I love the strip of silver glitter between the bike & tree and their shadows. Fun little accent on that card.

  6. Who would have thought about making a show of a city or any thing else for that matter by stamping the object upside down. Brilliant Jennifer!
I love both cards, very stylish!

  7. That bike shadow looks elongated. Is it just a trick of the eye? I read the instructions and it didn’t mention doing anything special to the stamp. Impressive.
