STAMPtember® Feature: Altenew

(Card by Jennifer Rzasa)

(Card by Tasnim Ahmed)

Hi readers! Happy Monday to you! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend! I’m pleased to kick off the ‘work’ week with two gorgeous cards by the creative geniuses behind Altenew!

For Tasnim Ahmed and Jennifer Rzasa, starting a stamp company has been a dream in the brewing. The girls joined forces to launch Altenew; a small online based company located in the East Coast of the United States.

Altenew strives to bring you fresh, innovative and versatile designs. Their stamps are made from high quality clear photopolymer, and are manufactured in the USA.

You can view the entire collection of Altenew products here. They are in the STAMPtember® spotlight today! Please welcome Jennifer Rzasa & Tasnim Ahmed!

I started this card by stamping the tree and the bicycle with a very light ink. I used Distress ink Antique Linen as it is one my lightest colors. Once the images are colored, the light outlines don’t show much, giving them a natural look. I used Copic markers for coloring. For the leaves on the tree, I simply dabbed the tip of the markers at random places to create a speckled look. For the bicycle, after it was colored with the same pink and gray markers, I used a 0.3 point black pen to draw the spokes of the wheels and the chain assembly.

I adhered a 1” wide gray card stock along the bottom of the card to mimic a pavement, and stamped the shadows with Versamark ink. To add a little sparkle, I adhered a thin strip of silver glitter card stock where the images and their shadows meet. The finished card is 3.5″ x 5.5″.

Thanks so much for reading today and thanks to Jennifer & Tansim for being our awesome guests!

  1. Just thinking that Altenew has some neat stamps. I must check them out. As for the video of card share im liking the shadows and I noticed the stamps include the shadows. I like that.

  2. Both these artists are my favorites. Especially Tasnim, she’s a master in C&S Cards. I love her creations. Thank you for sharing.

  3. These cards and stamps are just terrific, I especially like the idea of the vellum for making a reflection, also as I’m from Melbourne Australia I was wondering if there was a stamp of something from here as that stamp is of the Sydney Opera House. Thanks for the intro to a new company that I probably wouldn’t have heard of otherwise!! Also thanks for sharing these.

  4. Welcome to Stamptember Tasnim and Jennifer! I love your stamps and I’ve been a follower of Tasnim’s work for a long while and love it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful stamps and cards with us ladies!

  5. I would love to try some of these Altenew stamps. They have an elegant look about them. Thanks for introducing me to so many new things!
