Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you! We’re always pleased to have Laura Bassen as a guest on our blog each month and this January she gave us not one, but two cards to love using the Combined Hearts dies and the Soaring for You stamp set from the Better Together collection!! Just a little stitching can show so much interest and fun! Be sure to tune into Laura’s video on our Youtube channel to get the full tutorial! Enjoy!

  1. Laura, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! I love your ideas and you have great inspiration, you are a HOOT!! Your kids are following in your footsteps. I love when they narrate your videos!! Great cards. I hope my adhesive holds my hearts because my sewing is definitely not like yours.

  2. Nothing better than starting a day with great SSS inspiration and fabulous Laura. Thank you Laura for setting my creativity on fire and making me laugh along the way. Your the best!

  3. Oh, my gosh – I giggled so many times during that video – especially at the “Tina Turner” comment! Lol! I love listening to your narratives, Laura! ♥ Both cards are so awesome!

  4. so cool. Love this idea, especially the three little hearts. And your videos are great. You (or your kids) always make me laugh.

  5. Thank you Laura, what a great tutorial I loved it. I am going to have to try that but without the stitching. I don’t do stitching. I’ll just use glue

  6. These are such cute cards. Very simple but I love the look. Don’t have a sewing machine, can you believe it. But I am sure I could figure out a way to make something similar. Love the die set. Here goes my Wish List!! Wonderful job and a great video. TFS

  7. Both are such cute cards Laura. I think I could even do that myself, once I clear off the top of my sewing machine! Thanks for the tutorial!

  8. Fabulous cards!!! Now I know my sewing machine is around here soooooooooooomeplace! Maybe under this heap…..

  9. Oh my dear Laura…….I think I want to meet you one day and just sit in a corner of your world, for just a little while. Your talent and sense of humour (spelling is right…I’m Canadian eh!) always put a smile on my face! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  10. Laura, I love your videos! They always make me laugh, you are fantastic and such an inspiration. Now to go order those dies and dust off my sewing machine. I also have one of those steam mops and like your floor, you could eat your dinner off mine ;o)

  11. Thanks so much for having Laura as a guest designer! Her designs never fail to put a smile on my face and her videos??? It’s like having a cup of coffee and giggling with a dear friend!

Thanks for making us laugh today, Laura! :)

  12. Love your videos! When my sister’s place is in disarray she says to her son ” What does Mama say?” He pipes in with ” wild dogs been here! “.
Really cute cards. Love the stitching.
