World Card Making Day was created in 2006, and the original purpose was to kick-start the holiday card making season. Chances are you make lots of cards for Christmas, but we all know that those beautiful cards don’t come together in one night. My name is Erika. I’m in Houston. I’m newer to card making. I love watching people make cards and then learning how to follow a card sketch. I love seeing my improvement with each card I make!!
I’m Susan. I live in Walpole, Massachusetts. I love card making because, even though I can’t draw or paint, I feel like I am producing tiny pieces of art for friends. It makes me feel happy to think that I might put a smile on the recipient’s face when they get my card. They will know that I put love into the card for them.
Also, card making is always evolving with new techniques and products. I love to watch other maker’s videos. They inspire me.

I didn’t read the what to do: I’m in Orlando, FL, Mickey’s neck of the woods actually, and love making cards for all my friends and family as well donate to Senior Nursing Homes. The biggest thing I do though is scrapbook and work at using all of my goodies which is vast since I started in the early 90’s when I had children.
