Multi-Medium Wood Decor!

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I thought I’d mix it up a little this year and show you more multi-medium projects including; art journals, canvases and even home decor items using some common supplies and mediums. I think this will give you and I a chance to explore more possibilities!

For January I’ve created a wall hanging using the Jillibean Soup Mix The Media wood plank frame and lots of Prima Flowers! I went with my favorite muted tones, but remember you could choose your own pallet of colors by using other selections of flowers.

To glue everything down, I used the Art Basics Soft Matte Gel Medium which dries completely clear.

I’ve made it so I can change out my greeting throughout the year by using Canvas Clips to hold my pieces in place. I’ve shot a video of the process, you can see it here on the Simon Says Stamp You Tube channel.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend!

  1. Such a charming project! I agree – this would make a lovely wedding gift. Love the rustic feel of it and the clever way you created a decorative piece that can be updated whenever you chose to do so. Brilliant!

  2. LOVE IT – LOVE the wood, LOVE the flowers!!!
Mix The Media is an EXCITING release, the galvanised frames are cool too!!!

  3. I’m doing some remodeling and will need new decorations.
These projects sound great and may be the basis for some of my new pretties.
