DIY: Stenciled and Stamped Cloth Napkins!
Hi everyone, it’s Shari here with a fun DIY project.
As the weather becomes geared towards summer, we get outdoors a lot more. One of our favorite things to do is enjoy dinner on the back deck on warm evenings. Our family also prefers cloth napkins over paper (they don’t blow away and are recyclable!). So, I figured it would be cute to create my own custom “printed” napkins using a stencil and coordinating stamps from our latest “Pure Sunshine” release.
I picked up some inexpensive napkins, washed and ironed them so they were ready for decorating. I stenciled the Irregular Dots using multi surface paint which is washable once dry. After I was done stenciling my colored dots, I let everything dry then and went back over with the Scribble Flower rings to add accents of white.
I couldn’t stop with just the napkin. I grabbed a can from our recycle bin and painted it white, then went back over and added grey dots. I used the same orange color paint to stain some Tim Holtz Crinkle Ribbon.
I have put together a video of how to make this project, I hope you enjoy!
Super fun and Easy!!!

Great idea, Shari! I love the grey and melon combination. My kitchen is a melon color and this project is ideal! I’ve already purchased the stamp set and my intent was to use it for cards but you’ve opened my eyes to a whole new possibility. Thanks!

What a great idea Shari, maybe something I could with the children I work with.
If you want to stabilize fabric easily, you can iron freezer paper to the back of the paper. It works great! especially on t shirts. Not sure if it would wok on napkins or not.
This is just AWESOME! I so love the design and the colors!
Cool project for the summer fun when barbaquing.
