DIY: Stenciled and Stamped Cloth Napkins!

DIY-banner

Hi everyone, it’s Shari here with a fun DIY project.

As the weather becomes geared towards summer, we get outdoors a lot more. One of our favorite things to do is enjoy dinner on the back deck on warm evenings. Our family also prefers cloth napkins over paper (they don’t blow away and are recyclable!). So, I figured it would be cute to create my own custom “printed” napkins using a stencil and coordinating stamps from our latest “Pure Sunshine” release.

I picked up some inexpensive napkins, washed and ironed them so they were ready for decorating. I stenciled the Irregular Dots using multi surface paint which is washable once dry. After I was done stenciling my colored dots, I let everything dry then and went back over with the Scribble Flower rings to add accents of white.

I couldn’t stop with just the napkin. I grabbed a can from our recycle bin and painted it white, then went back over and added grey dots. I used the same orange color paint to stain some Tim Holtz Crinkle Ribbon.

I have put together a video of how to make this project, I hope you enjoy!

Super fun and Easy!!!

  1. That is so original! I love it! I forget about stamping on cloth! I love it! I like how fresh and summery it is. I’d like to make a couple of these to go on a picnic.

  2. This is a great project, lovely way to place the cutlery etc on your BBQ table at every persons place,

  3. So perfect; you can make them right how you like instead of ending with just one colour or something that you like, but not “love”!

  4. Cute idea and I have one
    similar that I made for
    our family reunion, works
    great!
