DIY Decoration Idea for Jars!

Happy Sunday to you all! It’s Shari here with a DIY project that helps me feel a little better about my addiction to cold coffee drinks! To start off, I’ve added layers of book text in all directions to cover the entire bottle.

Then to diffuse and to create texture, I’ve added wrinkled up tissue paper. I’ve used my twine to wrap the top of the bottle which gives it a finished edge.

And finally I used some Prima Flowers to decorate. I have a video for you of the process below or you can view it on our YouTube channel.

  1. LOVE IT Shari!!!
One of my favourite décor projects is to decorate jars, turning them into vases and filling them with handmade paper flowers – my very own everlasting flower arrangements to give away!!!
I confess that I always double check each & every bottle and jar before it goes into the recycle bin :)

  2. Very pretty project! Can be used for so many different occasions, or for a just because! Love the rolled roses too!

  3. Love this project. Currently working on making
a hummingbird feeder out of a recycled bottle
Got to try to use this technique on some other
    containers. Cheers

  4. Just LOVE this DIY project, Shari! Vintage book pages and flowers always melt my heart. As always, thanks for the wonderful inspiration! ♡

  5. Love this!! I saved up a bunch of Starbucks Frap bottles to use as treat bottles. Glad to have more ideas on how to use them. Thank you!

  6. Precious little vase! I love it – similar idea to a recent 35th Anniversary party this yesterday. Very nice.

  7. Simply lovely, Shari! I really love the way you used the twine, not only to give a finished edge to the top of the bottle, but also with the bow tucked in with the flowers.

  8. Love your project for today! I can see a set of these puppies in 3 varieties of sizes / shapes on my dining room table! Thanks for the neat idea!

  9. You have the most amazing ideas. Love to repurpose common household objects. Beautiful project. Thanks.
