I stamped my coffee cup onto a woodgrain paper, thought it would give me an interesting look.. and I love it! Most of the card is grey tones but I used Burnt Orange ink and card stock for a warm punch of color.

I’ve also used my brown and grey color pencils to color in the coffee and add some shading to the cup. For a finishing touch, I added a bit of Glossy accents over the coffee area. I’ve shot a video of the whole process, I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the hop!

  4. What a fantastic card! I love the way you colored the coffee cup and created all the other elements for the card. Great inspiration!! Thanks for making the video and sharing your talent!

  5. Love your card! I actually used some of your technique to create mine. I used my Copic markers to shade the patterned paper. Thanks so much for teaching, I enjoy your videos so very much!

  6. Enjoyed watching this tutorial –good demonstration of using the Gamsol with colored pencils. And this stamp set is a bit unusual and super nice for combing the cup with the plants (like the design for where the two meet).

  7. Wonderful card! I love the wood paper pattern that you used for the cup. It turned out great and I would have never thought of that. Thanks for the video and the awesome card ideas!
