25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi everyone! It’s Shari here with a special tag as part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event on the “In My Creative Opinion Blog“.

This year I’m inspired to mix up some textures. I have Metallic, Kraft, Glittered, and natural going on with this tag.

I used a Tim Holtz Botanical 3D embossing folder on Metallic Kraft cardstock. I’ve die cut the Tim Holtz Sizzix Ice Flake from white cardstock and the Simon Says Stamp Marie Snowflake from Desert Storm cardstock. I’ve covered both with Gel Medium and sprinkled them with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. From there I added some great embellishments and finished it off with a bow on the top!

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration to mix up textures to create some holiday tags this year!

  1. That tag is beyond amazing! I just love the look. Now I really really want to try and duplicate that look. I will have to play along with 25 days of tags! Such amazing inspiration and such talent. (I always just steal ideas from others, the biggest reason why I love the stamping community.)

  2. Another wonderful project from Shari! That tag is absolutely gorgeous — and I NEED that beautiful embossing folder! I’ll definitely be trying this.

  3. WOW! I love the look of the dry embossing on the metallic cardstock. If I received a gift with this tag, I’d be 100% ok if it was just an empty box!

  4. love your embossed tag, Shari – thanks for showing how to expose the silver foil on the embossed tag – thx for the inspiration

  5. Beautiful tag. This is one
    who would hope would be
    treasured for years to come.
    thanks for sharing

  6. Shari’s tag is stunning!!! The embossed foil adds a great layer of texture and provides a beautiful background for the other media. It is pretty enough to hang on a tree instead of merely being used on a present.
