Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Icy Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are inviting you to create something for the winter holidays!
It could be a last minute Christmas/New Year card, a creation to decorate your home. Whatever you decide to create we will be looking forward to seeing it!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Valerie made a wreath for her door. The substrate was made with twigs from a willow tree, soaked in water to make them more pliable and then bound into a circle. The leaves were recycled from old decorations, and sprayed with silver. I used hot glue to hold things together. I used ribbons and decorative wires to wind around it. The cherub was cast in a mold and the flowers were cut using a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die.
Barbara this week chose an Etcetera Tag Small by Stampers Anonymous as a base to create a decoration for her home using Sizzix Tim Holtz Snowflakes Duo, Paper Dolls Christmas version, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous mini Swirly stamp set and her favorite color Cracked Pistachio Distress paint.
Emma created a very special Christmas card using Tim Holtz’s Ice Skates die as the focal point. She added a selection of Festive and Holiday Greens and completed the card with the beautiful Vintage Tidings wording cut from silver metallic kraft card.
Kath created a Christmas card for a special friend using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Swirly Snowflakes, Holiday Drawings and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Retro Merry Christmas, Winter Wonderland and Festive Greens Thinlits
Macarena opted for traditional Christmas colors making a very glossy card using Sizzix Dashing Deer die and putting it inside the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes Frame die and covering almost everything with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.
Maura’s been thinking of joyful snowmen dreaming of giant snowflakes. She made a simple Christmas card using Penny Black’s Snowman Joy die and Simon Says Stamp’s Felicity Snowflake, along with Tim Holtz’s Starry and Holiday Script layering stencils.
Sandra has made a Christmas card for her lovely friend that moved to Australia, the Miss You Script die from the Simon Says Stamp Diecember release is just perfect to tell her sweet friend she misses her already.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

#26 Nox – Sandra says: What a super cool ornament, love that is a open one with so much to see inside! All the glitter and the icy details, like the outside of the ornament that looks like a snowball is amazing!
#79 Marie-Christine Denis – Maura says: I love the giant sparkly snowflakes on Marie-Christine’s trio of cards. Two of the cards have adorable little houses on them, and the third looks like a window where you are looking out on a lovely snow scene. I love how she mixed her media with real photos on two of the cards!
#80 Artistic Craft Dabbler – Barbara says: I love so much the original way to use Christmas Paper dolls! The whole design of this project is fantastic and textures she created are incredible! Love this work!
#124 The Unpampered Stamper – Cathie says: Rachel created a super fun box card with adorable elves. Her coloring skills are amazing and I love the sweet and whimsical design.
#165 Craftyfield – Kath says: I love this beautiful glistening snow and winter trees card with it’s jolly snowman and beautiful Aurora Borealis night sky created with PaperArtsy Infusions and Brushos
#192 Ginny and the Sheep – Maura says: Simona has created a beautiful nighttime winter scene in gorgeous deep blues. Her giant snowflake looks transparent and icy and I love how she added her sentiment in vellum. Love the silhouette of the trees on this lovely card!
