This Day is Totally Awesome!

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday! Today we’re here with Kristina Proffitt and another glimpse into her pocket scrapbooking for Summer. I absolutely love the personal touches she adds to her scrapbook pages like this adorable drawing from her kiddos. Keep scrolling to check out more details.

Enjoy!

With Summer right around the corner, I am loving adding pops of color to my Project Life pages. Although my pages are usually light on the embellishments (I’m a pretty simple scrapbooker) it’s so much fun to add bright colors to my pages. That’s exactly what I did for this spread using some summery paper from American Crafts and Amy Tangerine’s Plus One mini kit. Love the pop of color and then the bold black that you see here and there. It’s just the right balance without being too much, I think. I know I’ll be ready with lots of versatile products for all of the Summertime photos I’ll have! ;)

  1. Since seeing pocket scrapbooking I have leaned more and more this way. I have too many photo’s to do single page layouts all the time so I have started to blend them together.

  2. Love the troll and the child’s handwriting. Any time I look back at my children’s writing I am reminded how precious it is. The baby pictures are precious too. Thank’s for sharing with us.

  3. I recognize those dolls in the one photo that Caylin has called “zelfs”. They were around when I was younger too but were called something different. Anyone remember those?

  4. Great layouts and photos. I love the pocket where she shared her daughter’s first purse.

  5. What a great way to keep the memory of a child’s artwork, without the volume. Thanks for the inspiration.

  6. FUN & FABULOUS pocket pages Kristina :)
I LOVE how you are CHERISHING the RANDOM, EVERYDAY MOMENTS and turning them in to SPECIAL MEMORIES!!! These are the things I miss most as I get older and my memory gets worse. My advice to everyone is to photograph something EVERY DAY and JOURNAL about it too. You will look back on them with a BIG SMILE and your families will too, for generations to come!!!

  7. Great pages. I’m still undecided if I should try pocket scrapbooking. I’m not a scrapbooker but I have lots of pictures I need to get out of their boxes so I will actually look at them every now and then…

  8. I just started pocket scrapbooking and I love it. It’s so much easier to work with one pocket at a time and see your layout come together. I love the elements on your page! Thanks for sharing :)

  9. I’m still not sold on pocket scrapping. Creating the page is a big part of preserving the memories for me. However, her pages are wonderful! The little one’s smile touched my heart – that is a moment to remember.

  10. Lovely! If I could stop obsessing over cards I might try this…. sigh….. someday………
