Watercolor Backgrounds & Distress Reinkers with Kristina Werner

Hi all! Kristina here! Today I have some super fun watercolor backgrounds created with Distress Ink Reinkers! The liquid in these eye dropper bottles is a super concentrated ink, so watercoloring with them gives you a lot of color payoff.
First I stamped and gold heat embossed with the Interlocking Leaves background stamp on watercolor paper. Then I taped the watercolor paper to a hardboard and started painting!
I created three backgrounds with Distress Inks:
- Vintage Photo, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber
- Villainous Potion, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed
- Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn, Broken China

All three color combinations turned out beautiful! I was super impressed with the depth and vibrancy of the latest Distress color Villainous Potion! It looks beautiful with Picked Raspberry and Mustard!
I finished off my cards by adhering a gold greeting cut with the Bold Thanks die.

EZ with CZ: Easy Textured Gift Tag

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Welcome to the latest edition of our monthly installment of EZ with CZ with Cathy Zielske! Be sure to watch the video for all the details and enjoy!

Hey friends! It’s Cathy Z. here back with another installment of EZ with CZ. One of my favorite holiday crafting projects is creating gift tags for my packages. I like to get an early start so I have a good stash when the wrapping begins.

Today I’m sharing a really quick and easy way to add gorgeous texture to any tag. All you need is any 3D embossing folder and you’re good to go! You could also use any stencil you have on hand to dry emboss a texture onto your tag.

I absolutely love how this Triangle Burst Embossing Folder creates the perfect area for the star on my tree. Here is my video showing you how I created this fun tag.

Art Journaling with Shari Carroll: Do It

Welcome, everyone! Wow and welcome to November!! It’s Shari Carroll here with an art journal feature where I’m working in the Dina Wakley white 6×6 journal where I’ve taken my inspiration from a page in Dina’s Media Collage Collective book.

I’ve tried to channel my inner Dina by using her paints to block out a center area of the journal pages. By adding water to them, they act much like watercolors but are permanent.

Once everything was dry, I used stencils, paste, and some simple collaging. If you haven’t tried art journaling yet, this type of page is a great way to start.
