Lunar Paste 3 Ways: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please join me in welcoming back the super talented Caly Person in the latest edition of our bi-monthly Crafty with Caly blog series! She is sharing 3 fun and colorful ways to use Lunar Paste! Be sure to watch the video and read on for all of the details!

Hi there, friends! It’s Caly and I’m here to share three cards made using Lunar Pastes from Simon Hurley! These colorful pastes have intrigued me for a while. I’ve had to work up the courage to use them because I have an aversion to mess. Anyone else? I found ways to use them that are fun and colorful that still fit my style and I’m excited to share them with you!
Be sure to check out the video to see how these three cards are made! In my video, I share how I use the Lunar Pastes to color black cardstock, white cardstock, and as a paste with stencils.
WATCH THE VIDEO:
The first card uses the Lunar Pastes over dark cardstock. I swatch them out in my video, then repurpose the swatch to make colorful die-cuts. I used a small foliage die from the Etched Meadow Flower and Leaves Dies to die-cut each of the colors. This card also features the Hi There sentiment.

The second card uses Lunar Pastes over white cardstock. I rubbed the colors onto a white panel and once dry, I used the Leafy Frame Die to die-cut the panel. This card is paired with the Miss You sentiment.

For my third card, I stenciled the pastes on using the Leaves stencil set. This card uses the Here for You sentiment.

All three cards use the same ink-blended backgrounds using Pawsitively Saturated Inks (Watermelon, Lemonade, Surf, Cadette, and Amethyst) and are embellished with some iridescent sequins. What’s your favorite way to use Lunar Pastes? If you haven’t tried, what technique do you like best? I hope these projects inspire you to give it a try! Thanks so much for visiting today! ~Caly
