Throwback Thursday – STAMPtember® Edition!
Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday — a trip back in time! For each throwback, we’ll be spotlighting fantastic cards and projects using products from previous releases. The new stuff is always SO fun, but think about all of those great products you’ve collected and set aside. They are STILL AWESOME! And we want to inspire you with fantastic inspiration from our creative archives.
Oh my goodness! We are on the veritable BRINK of STAMPtember®, and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s seriously like Christmas and our birthday all rolled into one with the addition of the biggest crafty celebration on the planet! We hope you are STOKED, because WE sure are!
To whet your appetite, we’re throwing it back to STAMPtember® 2017, and sharing inspiration from last year’s extravaganza. Our STAMPtember® release is always huge, and you might remember some pretty spectacular products from last year’s STAMPtember® collection. In celebration of the upcoming month of stampy happiness, let’s take a look at some glorious cards created with goodies from our 2017 STAMPtember® release!
First up this project from Yoonsun Hur:
Yoonsun’s beautiful bouquet was created with the Let Us Rejoice stamp set (which Yoonsun herself designed!). So gorgeous! You can see Yoonsun’s original post HERE.
Next, let’s throw it back to this colorful card from Jean Manis:
Jean heat embossed the Ornate Background stamp (one of our most popular backgrounds from last year’s release!) and colored it with Distress Oxides. The sentiment is from our You Got This stamp set, and it has so many encouraging words in it! You can see her original post HERE.
And let’s not forget this super fun project from Shari Carroll:
Love the purples and greens that Shari used on this awesome Halloween design! The If The Hat Fits set is perfect for spooky October greetings. Visit Shari’s card in the original post HERE.
Our last throwback project is this gorgeously colored design from Kathy Racoosin:
Coloring guru Kathy Racoosin knocked it out of the park with our Under the Sea stamp set! Want to see how Kathy watercolored this background? You can watch her tutorial on YouTube HERE. You can check Kathy’s original blog post HERE.
Did you know that we have inspiration galleries on our website showcasing project ideas for all of our releases and card kits? It’s a veritable treasure-trove of terrific ideas just waiting to inspire you, and you are invited to share your projects, too! You can find all of the Simon release galleries HERE and galleries for our monthly card kits can be found HERE. Scroll through today, and maybe you’ll find one of YOUR projects linked there!
Thanks for throwing it back with us and checking out these cool projects from four talented ladies!

Work It Wednesday August/September 2018: Celebrating Stamping & STAMPtember®!
Happy Wednesday, friends! Welcome to Work It Wednesday for August and September 2018!
In case you’re wondering what ‘Work It Wednesday’ is, let me explain: On the third Wednesday of every month (or towards the end of the month ?), we want to see what you’re creating! The Simon Says Stamp community is so very talented, and we want to see more of your cards and projects every month.
We thought this would be a great way for all of you to ‘stretch your creative muscles’ and share what you’ve been working on. So we’ll give you a little challenge each month, and you’ll have until the following month to share what you’ve made. Please limit entries to 3 per month.
Each month we’ll pick a few random participants to win a Simon Says Stamp grab bag! YAY!
The projects and cards that were shared for July were SO FUN! Do you want to see all of the cards and projects that were shared for last month’s Work it Wednesday? Check them out; there is loads of watercolor inspiration to see!
The following three participants from July’s Work It Wednesday were randomly chosen to win a goody bag from Simon Says Stamp:
CONGRATS TO OUR WINNERS! Please email [email protected] with your mailing address and she’ll get your prize sent out to you.
We were thoroughly inspired by EVERYONES creative ideas, and we look forward to seeing what you make for THIS month’s challenge! Because September is our HUGE STAMPtember® celebration month, we want to see you create a project that features your favorite stamping technique in a celebration or birthday theme!
Here are 3 ideas to kick-start your stamping creativity!
Once you’ve stamped your celebratory masterpiece, make sure you link your creations below! Please remember to limit entries to 3 per month.
Note that this challenge will extend through until October due to many STAMPtember® festivities happening all throughout the month of September! We will have a new Work It Wednesday again in October.
What are you waiting for crafters? WORK IT!
