Simon Says: Touchy Feely
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Masculine Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to add some texture
Touchy Feely
there are many ways that you can add texture to your projects, embossing folders and pastes, 3D flowers, buttons, gems, corrugated card, the supplies that you can use are endless. Whatever you decide to use we will be looking forward to seeing what you create!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Anne took the challenge theme quite literally and created a wonderfully ‘soft to the touch’ journal, using felt from a Taylored Expressions Red Felt Bundle, a Journal Box Scoreboard Die and a Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Die. “
Andrea made a collage with built-up texture from die cuts and flowers. She used the negative space of Seth Apter’s Coffee Rings for the swirl and added Tim Holtz’s Bouquet Flowers and Trellis die-cuts.
Anna-Karin mixed a whole bunch of different textures on this layout about a favorite tree: dry embossing with the Numberic folder by Tim Holtz, wool felt clouds die cut with the Chevron Clouds die by SSS, canvas, burlap, cork, cloth, texture paste and more.
Barbara had much fun creating a canvas with different kinds of textures: Ranger Vintage Foil sheets, Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Matte, some layers with Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and Tim Holtz Sizzix Cityscape Metropolis.
Cathie created texture on the background for her card using a toothbrush along with Ranger Texture Paste. The beautiful stenciled lace gives added texture to the background and was created using the Simon Says Stamp Circular Lace stencil.
Emma created a panel perfect for Father’s Day and packed it full of many different textures, including stitching, an embossed metal panel created by using the Tiny Stars Texture Fade, corrugated card and burlap and various metal idea-ology pieces.
Kath created a touchy-feely background on an Etcetera Tag using Ranger Opague Crackle Texture Paste, Detailed Butterflies and Taylored Expressions Felt
Lols used the corrugated card and burlap from a Tim Holtz Textured Surfaces Pack as the base for her touchy feely card, adding more texture with a popped up flower from a Flower Garden Set and a scrunchy Crinkle Ribbon.
Macarena loves textures on her projects and also using leftovers from die-cutting. She made a touchy feely background with pieces of a solid cardboard left from Pipelines die cutting. She gave a color to the background with Distress Oxides and Prima Oil Pastel Crayons. Then she placed a very popping-up Artful Flowers colored with vibrant colors.
Maura reached right for her Spellbinders Bubble Wrap embossing folder to add texture to her card. Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks added some bright colors, and Prima Art Ingredients Black Cherry and Gold Mica Powders from Finnabair added the sparkle and shine.
Meihsia was inspired to created a mixed media canvas with stenciled heart using Simon Says Stamp Mosaic Heart Stencil and Prima Flowers Modeling Paste.
Sandra turned the cover of her thoughts and feelings notebook (aka touchy feely notebook) in to something colorful using lots of washi tape with Opal Magic Paint, and Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed Distress Paint, and Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Paint on top.
Zoey used Distress Paint , modeling paste and The Crafters Workshop Mini Believe Script 6×6 Template to create these two ATCs
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
