We are welcoming the lovely and super talented Dr Sonia aka Cards Crafts, Kids Projects  into the Designer Spotlight this week! If you haven’t visited her blog you are in for a real treat!

Sonia live in the bustling metropolitan city of Bangalore in India and whenever her family gets a chance they love to escape into ” the Great Outdoors” which in their case is to go to the jungles nearby. She made a gorgeous trunk using Graphic 45 ‘s Safari Adventure collection and within it are cards to hold photos and snippets of details about their jungle holidays! Sonia used dies by Spellbinders, such as the Curved Matting Basics, Elegant Ovals and Basic Ovals, as well as Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles to embellish each journaling card and add various themed elements.

Andrea often loses things in the great outdoors, so she made a paper wallet to help keep things safely stashed.  She decorated it with Paper Artsy images: a tree from EKD02, color wheels from EEA03 and some quotes from EEG18.

Anna-Karin made a journal page this week using Paper Artsy’s Eclectica3 ELB22 set by Lin Brown. The background was coloured with various Infusions Colored Stains.

Barbara has created a cosmic  outdoors using with Paper Artsy SETH APTER 02 ECLECTICA3, Paper Artsy SETH APTER 01 ECLECTICA3 , a lot of Paper Artsy Fresco paints and  Paper Artsy Infusions and Seth Apter’s dies to realize her space flowers.

Cathie created an outdoor garden using PaperArtsy stamps Jofy 32, 33 and 45 along with several colors of Fresco Finish paints and Infusions pigment powders.

Emma created a framed panel and loved the effects that PaperArtsy Infusions gave to her textured background when combined with Grit Paste and her favourite stamp from the Flower Garden set.

Kath created a card for a friend who loves being outdoors pottering around in her garden using PaperArtsy Infusions, Eclectica 3 ELB31 and ELB34 Stamps and Stencils PS001 and PS044 designed by Lin Brown

Macarena made an Art Journal pages with love for birdsongs she admire and can listen all the time. She used almost all the Infusions to give th color to the background, Tarrered Florals and (un)Caged Birds. For the bottom of the pages she used Jofy Mini 46 and 13.

Maura was inspired by gardens and growing plants and outdoor adventures. She worked in earthy colors using Seth Apter’s Paper Artsy Limited Edition Paint Set 1 and Set 2, as well as Seth’s Eclectica3 stamp set ESA01, along with Paper Artsy’s Everything Art 02 stamp set and Lin Brown’s stencil from Paper Artsy.

Meihsia created a mixed media tag using Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paints for coloring, and Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Bird Silhouette to decorate the tag.

Sandra found that it was about time to make another art journal spread, it has been ages, and used her favorite Paper Artsy product: Infusions. Like A Bit Jaded, Black Currant, Sunset Beach, The Sage and Slime.

Zoey used Paper Artsy Ellen Vargo 05 Eclectica3 and Paper Artsy Ellen Vargo 06 Eclectica3 Rubber Cling stamp and Distress Oxide to create this Flower Girl Tag

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
