Simon Says: Chill Out
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thanks for all of your fabulous entries into the ‘Be Square’ Challenge and we hope you will join in this week too!
This week we are challenging you to
Chill Out
The weather is quite chilly at the Simon HQ, but you can also choose to chill out at the beach with if you prefer warmer climes! There are lots of options for this challenge, we can’t wait to see what you create!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Autumn is most chilled outl when working in her cardboard junk journal. Here she’s used Found Relatives and Paper Snowflake die cuts over an icy watercolor background created with Distress Inks.
Andrea made a chill-worthy Popsicle card using Concord & 9th’s Sweet & Cool stamp set, My Favorite Thing’s Stitched Square Scallop Frame dies and Tim Holtz’s Word Play alphabet dies.
Anna-Karin made a winter card, using the lovely Penny Black Frosty Day stamp. The window was stamped with Hero Arts Vintage Metallic Steel Ombre ink pad and clear embossed, to give it the look of glass.
For Barbara creating a tag is the best way to chill out! She used Tim Holtz Found Relatives, Tim Holtz Stencil Flourish, Wendy Vecchi embossing paste Crackled Texture and Distress Sprays.
Cathie created a card with using Tim Holtz Crazy Cats and the Simon Says Stamp Abstract Triangles and Look For The Miracles stamp sets to add interest to her background.
Emma loves nothing more than chilling out with one of her favourite TV shows, Sherlock and was inspired by the character to create a piece of artwork using Tim Holtz’s Cityscape and Evolution stamps and surrounding it with die cut Gadget Gears!
In Kath’s world Chill Out = Coffee and she is sharing a birthday card for a male friend using Tim Holtz Wallflower Paper Stash Pad, Darkroom Door Coffee Time and Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots stamps
Lols took the theme quite literally and used a Tim Holtz Snowman Blueprint to make an icy Christmas Card. She is starting her box of Christmas cards early this year in the hopes that she is better organised and more ‘chilled out’ for 2017!
Macarena made a canvas cover for her new recipe notebook. Lately cakes baking make her chill out in the kitchen and so does having free time for doing projects for herself. She used Distress Paints, Opal Magic Paint and Mod Podge to secure the final compotition. She colored the World Play letters with Ecoline Liquid Watercolor.
Maura headed out into the chilly reaches of space and altered two notebooks using Carta Bella’s Space Academy collection and Dina Wakley’s Mini Favorite Media stencil.
This week, Meihsia was relaxed and inspired to create a simple painting on a canvas with Sakura Koi Watercolors and decorated it Tim Holtz Big Chat Stickers.
Sandra made some invitations for her birthday party to chill out with her friends and used the Ringer stencil to emboss with and stamped on some Vellum to create some interest
Zoey used Distress Crayons and Tim Holtz Layering Stencil to “chill out” while making this art journal page
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
