Thom created a 50’s hipster Jazz vibe for this card. He first selected his jazz player from Tim Holtz Paper Dolls Portraits and then used the Stampers Anonymous Carved Instruments stamps with Ranger Archival Ink Black Soot. He cut out squares with his instruments and colored them with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. He went over the outline of each instrument with Distress Paint Picket Fence and then added some highlights with Tim Holtz Holiday Blocks and Big Tidings.
Andrea chose a record theme for her tag, which she made using Concord & 9th’s Greatest Hits die set. She also used Wendy Vecchi’s Open Dots stamp and Dina Wakley’s Healing and Light stamp set for the background imagery. A little scrap of music paper from La La Land’s Spring Song paper tops off her tag.
Anna-Karin made a tag inspired by a song, which is sadly just as relevant today as when it was written almost 40 years ago. She used Tim Holtz Vault World Travel die set to die cut the globe and the title. The continents were die cut from kraft paper and coloured with Prismacolor pencils.
Kath created a page in her Stamperia Mixed Media Journal with a nod to the bird song symphony she enjoys every morning from the green finches and sparrows in her garden. She used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Planks Background Cling Stamp, Idea-ology Serendipity Collage Paper, 49and Market Spectrum Gardenia Rub-onTransfers and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Feathered Friends and Alphanumeric Theory Thinlits.
Macarena made an Art Journal page with a background full of music notes from Hero Arts Collage Backgrounds Part Two Transfer Rub ons. She used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collage Layer Frames and the Simon Says Stamp Tim Holtz Forgotten Garden Bundle set of stamps and coordinated dies.
Maura created a band to play some jazzy tunes for you in her art journal. She used Tim Holtz’s Hipster stamps, cut the images out with her Simon Says Stamp Fine Detail Scissors, and added some bright colors to the background, like Dina Wakley’s Stoked Gloss Media.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Lesia Zgharda Music Fox Clear Stamp on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology CLIPPINGS Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Quote Chip Labels.
Zoey used Tim Holtz Idea-ology AVIARY Collage Paper for her background and added color with Distress Paint and Distress Mica Stain. She decorated her tag with a paper doll and some clippings from Ideaology
