It’s Teresa and Gitta’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Teresa made a home decoration using a small Tim Holtz Etcetera Tag and Vignette Boxes. She used Christmas Worn Wallpaper and Lumber, Cobblestone and Mini Brickwork Embossing Folders to decorate the background. She then used Fireside, Festive Things and Celebration Word Scripts Thinlits Die Sets as the focal points of the tag. She added a Large Woodland Tree, Pinecones, Pine Twine and Tiny Lights to finish.

Gitta made a card with spaces for notes or addresses using Spellbinders Etched Heart Dies, Tim Holtz Game Spinners with Brads , a Mini Layering Stencil Set and a PhotoPlay Nested Pennant Die Set.

Andrea made a card using AALL & Create’s Frayed Frames Die Set. She got the “Thinking of You” sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Printmaking Postage stamp set and used Tim Holtz’s Brush Marks stencil for the pattern in the background. She also used some Infusions colored stain in Sage and Lemoncello.

Anna-Karin altered two notebooks this week, to use as a gift. The books were covered with Tim Holtz Halloween Backdrops paper. The Thinking of You sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp Retro Wishes and was white embossed on the patterned paper.

Barbara created a Halloween themed tag using the Shattered stamp from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous for the background along with Ranger Ink’s Gold embossing powder. In the center another stamp from the Examination set and lots of Idea-ology stuff. To complete the tag she chose two Sizzix Leaf Fragments and Fall Foliage dies colored with Distress Ink Spray Stain with autumnal shades.

Cheiron created a thank you card to let a friend how much she appreciates her. She used the Waffle Flower Mutliple Fall Leaves stamps, stencils and dies. She colored in her leaves with Distress Inks, and added lots of fun splatter with Picket Fence and Black Soot Distress Paint. She finished her card with a Waffle Flower Print and Script Thank You die.

Emma created an Etcetera Tag for Remembrance Day as a tribute to those who have fought and continue to fight for our countries. She used the Sizzix Modern Floristry Thinlits Dies by Tim Holtz to make dimensional poppies, layered over a background created with Translucent Grit Paste, applied through the Numerics Stencil from the Mini Stencil Set 7 and enamelled with Pumice Stone Distress Glaze.

Kath created a set of Thinking Of You Notecards using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain, Dearly Departed, Sketchy Leaves stamped on Vellum and Simon Says Thinking Of You Heart die for the sentiments.

Macarena made a card for a colleague fired from work. She made the background in a deep blues using Tim Holtz Distress Winter Frost Mica Stain Spray and Uncharted Mariner Oxide Spray. She made a mountains scene with a lovely moon from Tim Holtz Sizzix Moonlight die.

Maura created an ombre Thinking of You card, using Simon Says Stamp’s Happy Hello stamp set, Simon Says Stamp’s Pawsitively Saturated inks in Aegean and Grapefruit, and blended the ink background with Simon Says Stamp’s Small Blending Brushes.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps ECLECTIC ADVERTS on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology HITCH FASTENERS.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Element Stencils Everyday Art to create a funky background for her card. She used Distress Inks + Distress Paints to add color. These Elements Stencils are perfect if you want to create an abstract background! She then used Mummy cloth and Sentiments label stickers as decoration

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
